Just curious, what application do you use to create these graphics?
They're cool, I like this latest rendering the best. It doesn't strike me as a typical company logo, but still very very cool
Blender and LuxRender. Plus some photoshop for the flat versions. For banner and or splash imagery, these tools and styles are fine. Logos need to be done in a vector program such as illustrator. Bitmaps are always more trouble than they are worth in that regard. With a vector image, you can resize it to a mere speck, or blow it up to the size of a building and it will not lose an ounce of quality. With something like this, you would have to render it out each and every time (not optimal, considering that logos are constantly needing to be resized for the perspective mediums). Of course, I only do this for a living, so what would I know?

Did I miss something, wasn't Streets 2.0 working as ActiveMining-PR account on here? Or is this something different?
Streets is unpaid, not a pro PR guy and has a full time job elsewhere. Ken is talking about hiring a pro to take over on PR.

Sounds like a good idea. I think it may be starting to dawn on companies just how important PR is in this space.

It never will be; however, when they release their products on their website, then we can talk about them.
Ken, Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions today. I know I feel more confident about the future of ActM and I'm sure others do too now that we have gotten some information from you. I know you are busy but maybe you can stop by the thread for a weekly visit to answer any questions.

For transparency I own 98,053 shares with an average price of ~.0034 BTC. which I purchased with my own BTC.
In the future, I will announce on this thread my total number of shares owned within 10 days after I purchase shares.
Ken, I would request that you disclose all trades within 48 hours. I realize that there is no requirement in the virtual security world, but it has a precedent and would make the rest of us much more comfortable. "Form 4 is a United States SEC filing that relates to insider trading. Every director, officer or owner of more than ten percent of a class of equity securities registered under Section 12 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 must file with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission a statement of ownership regarding such security. The initial filing is on Form 3 and changes are reported on Form 4. ... A Form 4 must be filed before the end of the second business day following a change in ownership of securities or derivative securities (including the exercise or grant of stock options) for individuals subject to Section 16 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Form_4

What is to stop Ken from making another account that hasn't been disclosed and trading with that? You would never know. This is probably happening right now with other securities and you don't even know it. First you guys don't want any interaction from the SEC, now you want trades disclosed within 48 hours like its the SEC. It's an unregulated exchange. If you aren't comfortable with that, sell your shares and head to the NYSE.

I am well aware of the lack of regulations and am only making a request, not a demand. I expect Ken to state his intentions of whether he'll comply with the request and then I'll have to trust that he'll keep his word. This is similar to how we all have to trust that Ken won't run away with the bitcoin we've provided him, that he won't spend the bitcoin on frivolous purchases, that he won't hire employees who will take a salary without contributing, etc. I don't want or expect any interaction with the SEC, but I would like an open and honest disclosure of trades by the CEO. I believe that this only benefits Ken and us by providing a higher level of confidence in his leadership and faith in the company.

Of course, I only do this for a living, so what would I know? Wow, really? It's not like I started with a 2D vector image as a basis for the 3D model or anything. Oh wait... Anyway, I'm was just doing this for fun - I don't actually expect them to use my logo idea, that's why they're bitmaps, and scaled down. If ActM wanted to use them I could certainly produce vector graphics versions, you just trace over the bitmaps by hand. It's not difficult, but it would be time consuming - these are quick sketches of an idea rendered in various styles. Obviously I'm not going to spend hours and hours doing "spec" work for people who said he didn't even want suggested logos. I started these when people were talking about wanting a new logo, and I thought my new render looked cool, so I figured I'd share it. The cell shaded ones are just to give examples of how you could use the design in various block color contexts. Oh, and as far as the 2D logo, it was kind of "inspired" by the nasa 'worm' logo but a little more modern, with rounded corners and the curve between the v and the m: It's not intended to be perfect, it was done extremely quickly, to convey the general idea of what I was thinking. Anyway, looks cool in 3D:

Certainly looks decent Ytt. Maybe mess around with the free space? Could do one where its cropped stylistically, and/or more realistic light positioning/take out light, leave its effect.

There are a ton of ways to vary the image, including changing the lighting, etc. Problem is with most overhead lighting you'd get lots of shadows (Unless you removed the ground). Anyway, not really planning on spending any more free time on this for now unless someone wants to pay me for my time

lol you guys think insider trading is unregulated here.
look, the SEC is going to stay away until people start losing money and complaining, when Ken disappears, etc. THATS WHEN all the past indescretions will be used against him, such as unregistered offering sale of securities, undisclosed insider trading, failure to file form 3, 4, 8k, 10k, 10Q etc etc
until then, just wait for the dividends and high margin machine sales
