It is possible that Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin but I don't think it will happen next year because Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are very strong currencies and if there's a chance it would happen then it might be on next year but things keep changing. For me, either Ethereum will overtake all most expensive currencies or not, it's a good thing for Ethereum because it is the number one Top Altcoins.

Ethereum can never overtake bitcoin but it have GREAT potential to grow.
No cryptocoin can ever takeover bitcoin.
BTC is the father of crypto world.

i think not it is a little bit overestimated to say that Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin because ethereum is still not to be not limited to a certain supply.

There is no hard limit but there it will not go over 100,000,000 total supply any time soon due.

I don't think Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin , might be in the second place but not beat Bitcoin.

If Ethereum will do march into the most expensive coin then most of Altcoins will follow specially an ERC20 contracts currencies.
If that will happen next year which I really don't have a good speculation but I know everything will be alright because Ethereum is a good coin and I think no one will question about it.

You can't say that, Cryptocurrency is volatile so in any second or minute of the day the game will change because Ethereum almost pass a thousand dollar mark hit last week and then suddenly passed out when Bitcoin finally drops down badly.
If Ethereum will overtake the seat as being the most valued coin is ok for me and I do support the game change because I do believe that Ethereum has a good future and will surely do like Bitcoin's.

Difficult to say if it happens, but ETH is a competitor of BTC in terms of market capitalisation, I agree. I like ETH platform as it is quite user-friendly and useful, even tho a lot of tokens will not have a real value in the future. But picking the right in ICO phase can give you massive profits. Smart contracts are great, and if they make something with scalability, we may see another interesting growth in the future.

Ethereum won't overtake Bitcoin but they both will rise next years.
This is very obvious. Ethereum will be over 1k next year but Bitcoin won't fall either. They both do rallies together.

That is impossible ethereum is not gonna overtake bitcoin. Bitcoin is still moving forward and much faster in improving unlike ethereum, its moving up but not a fast at bitcoin.

But look how old BTC is and how young ETH is. ETH should gain much if i'ts keep moving like it did in it's young age. It's like a 1 year old who is already running

Perhaps ethereum and overtake bitcoin, but the price will increase definitely. I think soon we will see him at $ 1,000. What do you think? Thank you for your opinion.

Ethereum is overtaking bitcoin and soon it will be on the top of the world. As the value of ethereum is growing at very fast rate. Its a good news for the investors who are investing in ethereum. So it is ultimately profitable. So have ethereum as much you can.

Ethereum overtaking Bitcoin is something i see as a dream which can not come through within this short period of time. because bitcoin have the higher demand by user thatn Ethereum.

I believe that this is theoretically possible, but not going to happen. Bitcoin is the first major cryptocurrency that is tied to all the others. And Ethereum is a blockchain platform and these platforms I know several. Many of them outperform Ethereum and can entice users, then the rate will fall.

For ethereum $1000 is possible to see in the next year because more and more smartcontract or eth based ico will launched  this indicate that ethereum is one of the good altcoin that run in long time and continue to grow but in my opinion it cannot overtake bitcoin because btc was use in all over the world even theres a lot of problem in unconfirm transaction in the last few days.

It's a joke. How to conclude without sufficient data base. Is it because bitcoin prices are undergoing correction and this is used as proof as a comparison. Bitcoin has grown for over 8 years. During that bitcoin has done a lot of improvements, forget about Segwit2x failures or tx prices are getting crazy, but how trus has been formed and will be difficult to replace. If the bitcoin price is just $ 1k recovery, then there will be a lot of demand in the market. This has been proven over and over again.

Isn't it bit early to say that? When it comes to price the current price of the two coins are: $14000+ for bitcoin and $700+ for ethereum and continue to fluctuate. I belive that it will take time before ethereum surpass bitcoin because bitcoin still possesses a lot of supports from the investors while ethereum is still establishing its name.

In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency.  I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.
this is next to impossible, ethereum have no power to overtake bitcoin, in fact ethereum will step down and WAVE will lead the way of alternative currency in 2018. you better watch your step before doing such things!

Ethereum has good qualities and great potential, i will give ethereum that, but not enough to be something worthy of comparing to bitcoin.

Same sentiments here. Ethereum in addition has bigger supply compared to bitcoin and ethereum has many tokens under its name and seems its very possible that it can overtake bitcoin in total market capitalization if we add the value of tokens under him. But still I am for bitcoin because its the pioneer and proven already its worth.
