Ethereum cannot overtake Bitcoin. Because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and people started using it before other coins came in, so it can be said bitcoin has become the heart of other digital money. All I can say ethereum will be the second most expensive in the future.

Crypto market is very uncertain, you cant really predict anything 100%. But i don't think any coin will beat Bitcoin and take first place.

Apparently dude you did not carefully read my message! I'm not a beginner, I bought bitcoin even at the time when it cost $ 1000! And I'm not talking about any facts, but in my opinion the etherium is a very promising coin! Yes and considering their gap as to market capitalization, price and dominance, ETH is way too far from BTC right now. Let's just say that ETH can reach 20,000$/ETH soon but for sure BITCOIN will even double that market price. So while BTC is around, I think it will remain as the alpha of the cryptocurrencies.

I don't think that it will happen because bitcoin price is very much high. another thing is ETH price is now low so it is not possible.value of ETH rising continuously but I think ETH will not be able to overtake bitcoin within the next years. actually, in the crypto world, nothing is impossible. I like Eth a lot and as a matter of fact currently have a larger portion invested in it compared to Bitcoin, but I doubt that it can surpass Bitcoin in both price and value since the latter is too popular.

Anything can happen any time. It is quite obvious that people will switch from bitcoin to other currencies. And ethereum, growing in popularity and having very less transaction time may just have what it takes to beat btc.
