Now there are many projects that offer projecting on their platform. This can adversely affect the popularity of the Ether. But I hope that the Ether will remain the same popular.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Dude, Bitcoin is a coin and ETH is a token. Though people have been using ETH as a coin, I don't think it will outweigh bitcoin. There is a reason every other coin is said altcoin.

That is highly unlikely to happen in the near future, in spite of the fact that Ethereum is so special because of it's blockchain. It's digital ledger incorporates protocols known as "smart contracts," which help to verify, facilitate, or enforce the negotiation of a contract. Smart contracts are particularly attractive from an efficacy and legal standpoint for businesses. Ethereum's blockchain also moves beyond bitcoin's currency-only applications, which is why so many different industries are interested in what Ethereum has to offer.

According to me thats a false statement that you ate making and giving people a wrong advice.
It is too soon for ethereum to even dream about overtaking bitcoin as the number one Cryptos currency.
Though no other coin has a potential to rival ETH for it's no. Two place.
Though btc and ETH are in a different league than the other cryptos ,ETH can still not even be compared to btc and is no where near it.

If and when that will happen, there will be a lot of different platform already to compete with ETH. Interesting times ahead Smiley

I think this will be the case, but we are looking way in the future. Remember Bitcoin has been around a lot longer.

This last year in June, I heard many say the ETH will surpass BTC, following a sharp rise in the price of BTC, however, and ETH the gap is become big, so I want to, then the price of the BTC will rise sharply.

I start to believe that this is possible in next months.
There is a giant fud and dump against BTC and Chinese groups are pumping BCH & ETH.

I think bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency and if anyone is asked they only know bitcoin. Ether will be second.

Yeah this is why I think bitcoin will still be the king, everyone knows about it after all  Grin

ETH might overtake it eventually, might not any time soon IMO.

I don't think it matters as much as everyone makes it out for which crypto is #1 in market cap.   It doesn't mean it will stop being used and go to zero.  Get real.

Ethereum co-creator Steven Nerayoff says increased projects built on the cryptocurrency could trigger a "flippening" in 2018, in which ethereum overtakes bitcoin. ... Beyond project building, Nerayoff said usage is increasing because ethereum can process transactions more quickly and cheaply than its rival.
While bitcoin was designed to function as a peer to peer electronic payment system, ethereum was designed for smart contracts that execute when specific conditions are met. Nerayoff, who helped craft token sales for the ethereum project, said businesses in an increasingly wide variety of industries are starting to take note of what value Ethereum's protocol could offer them.

In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency.  I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.

That's hard to happen, eth will not be able to beat btc in a year's time, it will not happen. For one year, btc will remain the first and eth level after btc.

Many people believe that one day the Etherium will overtake bitokoyn. If you take into account other altokkuny, then the Etherium will be the best of them.

Just like Bitcoin, Eth has some issues of its own with its fees and slow confirmation depending on the network congestion. To add, I don't think Eth will be as popular as Bitcoin. Popularity = more demand.

What makes you think that, if i may know?
You should state some facts or hypothesis so you could convince us to do so.
I know ETH is as big as bitcoin, very popular too and maybe can be considered as the top alt coin, but i don't think it's gonna pass bitcoin this year. Even bitcoin takes a long way until it becomes like this, and it'll be so suprising if eth becomes the number one and surpass bitcoin, although i can say that it's possible to happen though.

Efirium will not overtake bitcoin, but I like it more. Soon he will have a division into two networks and the price should grow, I think to buy it

Why not? this can happen, only not in the near future, now the ethereum needs to be fixed as a second coin and only then think about the first position
