Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin

I depends on the application of technology that Eth brings in itself. Eth  will reach bitcoin and replace bitcoin if it really cater for the future demand of the world

In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency.  I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.

Etherium is one of the most perspective coins at present. But I think it will be too hard for ETH to achieve BTC capitalization

Its nearly impossible for etherium to overtake bitcoin,not gonna happen i think ,and bitcoin will still be on top among all coins.Etherium might have some potential differ from bitcoin but its not enough to overtake the mother coin.Although etherium might get high price this year but it cant get what bitcoins price.Bitcoin might be volatile but as what its graph shows it has a unique pattern that might get higher in the near future.

I think maybe eventually this will happen, but it will be a very long time till we see this coming true.

I do only see ETH as the alt coin to catch Bitcoin right now.

2018 will be the year of Ethereum, but I highly doubt that it will overtake bitcoin. ETH is not supposed to be too expensive, otherwise ICOs will suffer.

I dont think Ether can overtake bitcoin because Bitcoin is the king and mother currency of all crypto and its here from last 3 years or more. If bitcoin is at 17000$ after 3 or more years so how can Ether overtake  bitcoin even the Ether can't beat bitcoin in near future as it is more popular as bitcoin and its now at 950$. I dont think any altcoin can beat bitcoin in near future.But yes only Ether have capacity to reach this level after long time.

You can call the bitcoin is a king whatever you want but it looks you're forgetting about ripple almost reached the bitcoin level. True that. Bitcoin is a foundation stone of the whole cryptocurrency world and Ethereum is just an altcoin. It will never overcome Bitcoin just because it's based on Bitcoin. The same way we can say that one day Euro might overcome gold. It's just hilarious.

Soon eth will replace bitcoin concerning network. Bitcoin is a v1 cryptocoin and eth is a v2, plus 99% apps are built on eth, so bitcoin can't compete with eth on long term. Bitcoin's idea was good, I must admit but its creator never anticipated smart contracts. Also soon eth fees will be drastically reduced and the move to pos will contribute to its success.

I think that by capitalization ETH will surpass bitcoin in 2018. And as far as I know, more payments are made in ETH than in bitcoin since the summer of 2017. So according to this parameter it can be considered that the ETH has already surpassed bitcoin.

Ethereum will grow high in value as predicted. The same doesn't overtake the growth of bitcoin, maybe in future the market capital might grow bigger than bitcoin. At present the marketplace accepting ethereum is not found much around compared to that of the bitcoin, which will also help with the growth of bitcoin than ethereum.

I think this is impossible. BTC is a big monument, it is difficult to overcome it. But I also appreciate the ETH, it will stand in position 2 behind the BTC.
