It depends on all crypto world, because now everything is measured against bitcoin. Bitcoins are the foundation of all crypto.
Maybe in the future there will be new leader.

Yes maybe but not for now and it will take years for ethereum overtake bitcoin. There's a lot of reason one is bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency and beating it will take time, effort and of course money, bitcoin have a mark here by being the first coin reaching this kind of price of value even it is decentralised and some high ranking people and countries hate it. If ethereum continues its progress by developing its system and add more features to it, I will say ethereum can beat bitcoin in just few years.

Not in the next couple of years. It has a potential, yes, but know BTC rules like a king (of the hill), and we won't see ETH taking his greatseat any time soon.

There is chance for ethereum to be one of the crypto currency to be used widely. It is well design and fast transaction.
I don't think it will chance for ethereum to be the one of the crypto currency, because bitcoin is first and the King of cryptocurrencies and for me its impossible to ethereum overtake bitcoin. |

It will take a long time for that to happen. If you will notice anything that affects bitcoin, affect all altcoin that is because bitcoin servers as a store of value. eth for now is not eth is gaining value because alot of projects are having their ICO and basing their project on etherum. In the near future other project like etherum will come onboard and they will share the market value. we have seen such projects like NEO, ADA etc more to come

ETH is the basis for 90% of altcoins, very popular too and can be considered as the top coin, but i do not think it's gonna pass bitcoin this year. However i think it's possible to happen that ETH become the number one and surpass the bitcoin

I think it could be but it takes a long time, because seen from the price ethereum and bitcoin very dissect far and the volume of the market is also much different but I am sure one day ethereum will be superior to bitcoin.

I really doubt Eth reaches BTC ever. I think ETH will have a great year but don't see it passing BTC.
Yeah that could be overrated speculation. I don't believe that ETH can overtakes BTC. Although many ico will adopt ETH platform but in the long run those investors after they have there token will exchange it to BTC. Here in my country we can only exchange fiat to BTC and vice versa. No altcoin allowed. |

If one day Bitcoin or any other altcoin becomes the true leader and crypto goes mainstream then when someone says how can 1 bitcoin/altcoin be worth 1 million dollars or more at least you can answer why that might be with some intelligence.

Well people doesn't see eth's potential right since what is clear is btc's value now and in the future. Of course eth will always be relevant in the crypto world with very good features and following but other alts are catching up as the alt behind btc |

In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency. I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.
There is one thing that ethereum doesn't have that bitcoin has that's why it is famous, and that is publicity. We can all see bitcoin advertisements everywhere on the internet, like Facebook and YouTube. This is why people are more drawn to bitcoin than other cryptocurrencies, and people prefer bitcoin more. |

yeah, i think that a few years later ethereum will overtake bitcoin. i belive that ethereum with smart contract will make it strong and it can be the best choice to invest
