Bounty Rewards: Sell immediately or HODL?

In my case once the bounty received I sold it immediately because I noticed that when the token is introduced to market it started to dump. I convert the bounty pay outs to eth and when the specific token dump but have the potential then I will buy in such case I can have more token and hodl it.

I like to sell them immediately and it is because I don't like the fact that the owners of these ICOs play so much with the price of a coin. At one moment the price comes down and the very next moment it reaches an all time high. I don't like such a bearish market and hence I prefer to sell it on the spot. I don't care whether or not it increases in value in future, but I don't want unnecessary panic because of these tokens.

You will not lose to hold them even you will not lose it too if you sell it at a cheap price, you get it for free from a job that I do not think spends much of your time, so everything comes back to you, if I were in you position I would hold it and sell it when the price is good enough

You have a good point. But do you know that circumstances can warrant someone to sell off all his token rewards. Moreso, market price can be a determinant for selling off the tokens, as the saying goes: make hay while the sun shines. But with utmost sincerity, if you're doing many bounties sell some and hodl some because no one knows what the market can be in future

I've been doing bounty campaigns only since December 2017.  Not long, in the scheme of things.  But one thing that truly surprised me during the last couple of months is the number of bounty hunters who look to sell their tokens ASAP.  At first, I didn't understand why, but I think I'm beginning to.

For me, I'm doing these bounty campaigns for a bit of fun and to give my mind a bit work to do, creatively speaking.  So my mindset for any bounty tokens is just to HODL and allow the devs to implement their roadmap and take the project through to completion.  I think this will give the best realisation of value on the tokens.  Sure, some may fail and they will likely end up worthless, but since I only invested time, not money, into receiving them, I'm not really worried.

So with that mindset, I struggled to understand why so many people were eager to offload their bounties at the earliest opportunity.

But over the weekend, I sat down and did some calculations on the accumulated bounty rewards I'm expecting to receive.  Each bounty by itself was a modest return, but when combined in totality, it was a sizeable amount.  And that's when it struck me...

Lots of people who live in less fortunate parts of the world, particularly in areas with high unemployment, probably NEED to sell their bounty rewards to put food on the table and pay their bills.

But I really don't know if my assumptions are correct.  So, my question to you is...

Do you sell your Bounty Rewards straight away or HODL?  Any insight into your reasons would be appreciated.

It's hard to say which is better. In some cases, to hold rewards for several months meant to earn several times more money. There were cases when it happened on the contrary. I try to divide in half and get half at once that would feel the return from work and keep half for long-term storage.

You should never sell immediately what you earned for participating in the Bounty. If you wait a few months, you will be able to get much more money for these tokens.

Just like what you said some people sell their coins immediately because they really need very badly, in your case your only doing this is just for doing something and your earning money as well. Do it on your own decision and be happy for what you earn.

well as fas as im concern event the token is coming from bounty you must know how to use it  you can hold it if you want as long you dont need the momey and selling it early can affect for the price of the token which can cause lose hope for the investors. But as long the price is low then keep holding it cause even its free you can gain a profit with it

i prefer to hodl it a little bit because the demand will go up once it released on the market and that is the time you will sell it once the price go high sell it so you can gain profits

Selling right after the end of ICO is not profitable at all, because it is time when almost all bounty hunters rush to sell, thus making the price go down. I suppose it is better to give a token some time for the price to get back and then watch it out.

I have a similar strategy, but I think that I have been holding coins for a long time, so it happened with Hawala and Storm, I kept it for a long time and the price has now fallen dramatically.

It depends on the state of the market, if everything falls, it is better to immediately fix the profit

FOR me! bounties are good enoough to sell it quickly,
yes i am proud of myself selling it in just a minutes. then i will buy at dip.
most hunters are just selling their tokens for quick money.
i was one of them when i dnt have enough circulation money but now.
i do sell and buy at dip to get more profit.

Really depends on the project. Most of the bounties I get in I choose to HOLD tho, unless they get listed on big exchange on day one - then I usually sell on top.

I didn't sell immediately, I am still believe in growing altcoins market. If you do not like some of alts , the best way is change it to  your favorable alts and hold them

I think you should hold first and wait till the market becomes stable. Holdong bounty rewards is a good decision as of now. Wait till the price of coins goes high then start selling your bounty rewards. If it is not in price increasing dont sell

Usually what I do is hold my bounty coins until the project releases its product or gets on a decent exchange.

It all depends on the project. There are very promising projects. Also a lot of Scam projects. The immediate sale or Hold depends on it.
