At what temperature was that 150W?
Because at 28nm temperature plays a huge role in leakage and in some cases it can be up to 50% of the power draw.

I hope that there is stil a chance of improving it.
Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Well if they don't make their wattage range the least they could do is bump the compensation to double with psu. Seriously though with ant miner prices, huge delay, not making the promised wattage and the bad compensation plan that screws over single and odd orders this is the best thing they could do.

If they don't make the specs batch2 will want more than 25% of the next order.

BA I think there are some questions that need answering, I will try to summarize them...

1) Based on your current testing, at what speed/power consumption will the X-1 be shipping?  The X-3?

2) Are the specs higher than anticipated and what does this mean for...
           a) the boards and other parts in the unit
           b) your end customers who have hosting/cannot run that much power from a wall outlet

3) If the power specs are higher than anticipated, will there be other compensations to make up for this?  Free hosting?

4) Is there still room to add onto the current compensation package?  Free PSU?

5) Where are we in the timeline?  Are X-3's and X-1's going to start shipping today?  Tomorrow?  Further than that?

6) With the increased power, how are temperatures looking?  Is everything still able to be handled by currently designed cases?  (BTW, it is now summer and I just had to turn off my ants as it was too hot with them on, really wish these would have heated my house in Feb, and not burn it up in summer)

7) Are HW errors becoming a problem or is it only because that is the chip overclocked?  What kind of HW errors/power usage if ran at 100 GH/s?

Cool What are undervolting options?  I assume undervolting may be the only way to extend these things's lives.

9) I am assuming these power consumptions are based off of the chip alone?  What kind of added power are we looking at for everything else to run with it in an X-1?  An X-3?

10) How easy will it be to under/overvolt these?  Do you have screenshots of the web interface that we can expect to see?

is there still room for 20 - 30 % overclock with the chip already pumping out errors..

Our latest results are 120Ghash while using 150Watts.

Very nice. Whats with all the errors?

There is nothing nice there with the high power consumption.

By the time these are in hand we are going to need 3 times the hashing power we originally ordered for them to do anything. Do they assemble all these machines by hand in house? Or do they then have to ship the chips to the manufacture? Wait for them to assemble the machines, then do they get them back and ship in house or are they shipped from some other place? This all takes time.

Start of June will be when people in the U.s begin to see these. At that point.. I still just want a refund from minersource. The FTC does have a "complaint wizard" for all of those out there who are still wanting a refund from minersource.

https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1

Simple form to fill out, takes like 5 minutes.

I almost feel bad for blackarrow? How embarrassing this all must be. Like i have said in the past, the bar is set so low that to not look like total scumbags all they have to do is deliver merchandise at some point in time. That says very little though.

Hope for the best and plan for the worst, they must not have that expression in China?

So we missed every promise and goal we set forth for out investomers, sorry guys. To make up for it here is a buy two get one free sale, but then you need to buy a 50 dollar power supply and cover the shipping cost as well to make your compensation package work. You can't even turn around around and sell the compensation miners because they don't fuckin work.

Shipping should have started much sooner than now, i believe they said 2-24  Cheesy

It's really very simple, either Black Arrow hope to continue in business after this product release, or they do not. If it's the former they are certainly going to have to improve on the compensation plan for their customers. Customers don't forget, bitcointalk.org never forgets...

WOOHOO, got an email back from minersource about receiving a refund. Still waiting, hopefully it makes it to my wallet! I will edit this when the btc appears in my wallet!

Of course i expect back what i paid, 2.5285 btc for the 5 units i had ordered. Anyone who expects cash value back when they paid in btc is a fucking moron, plain and simple. It is not my fault, nor the fault of minersource that the price of btc tanked. I didn't pay in usd because i wanted to pay in btc, to make me whole again receiving the same amount of btc that i paid is all that is required, although there is a fee. Still cheaper than having to pay for my compensation. Makes me sick to my stomach to see people pissing and moaning and wanting a payday expecting 4.26 btc back (that would be what it would currently cost me in btc to place the order again) because the value happened to drop. Should have paid in fiat, then you would have received the same cash back minus fees. I don't think i will be able to mine 2.5285 btc with the 500 + 200 mh/s ordered, for the entire lifetime of the units, the life time being the period of time before the cost of running the units surpasses the amount of coins mined with the units. I think it is 15 cents Kw/h where i am.

The 120gh is the overlock speed.  The chips are slated to run at 100gh so the wattage will go down.  You have to wait for all the testing to be done and not get all bent out of shape over details.  They are obviously very busy and it's nice that they are giving us some information rather than just keeping us in the dark until the 8th.

I suspect we'll get an update today that details out everything so just hang on and wait.

Also, it sounds like those that had selected the five day hosting bonus are still going to get it based on a post in the BA forums.  So some of these will start mining soon.

I'd also like to congratulate Black Arrow on getting their chips done without having to send them back to be reworked like some other company's have had to do.  While the initial dates weren't met, it's still impressive that they went from tape-out to fully working chip at expected speeds on their first try.  Good job!

Looking forward to receiving my machines and hoping the value of Bitcoin starts to rise.

What i still don't understand about the whole thing is, where the hell do the bitfury boards and shit come into play. Why was it that after 3 months of taking preorders that they get their hands on a massive amount of bitfury boards and chips? Remember the pictures from the first trip to china (i think that was when they were posted, it was a pretty decent sized farm for the time)? I bring this up after checking out the black arrow site and seeing the "liquidation price" of 100 bucks for 40gh/s bitfury boards. Still not as nice as antminers as the furies need a supply and it appears a control board as well.

My guess.. they are dumping their own farm as they see it very close to bringing their minion farm online.

It was posted elsewhere that those boards were a customer's boards being hosted at their facility, seems more like the customer is having BA sell the gear for him/her.

No I just try to not let emotions get in the way of my decision making.

2 month delay is unfortunate but that's about it. Trolls have blown the misfortune way out of proportion.

Why does nobody commend BA for constant detailed weekly updates and the compensation that they were not required to give?

Or thank minersource for doing everything they can to make things right for their customers?

They could have pulled a bfl and delayed for 6+ months with no refunds or compensation but they chose not to because they are not scumbags.

Put words in my mouth much. I know the complaint didn't do much. But at the same time, it is very peculiar that after posting the link and such is when my questions about refunds are answered. After being ignored NUMEROUS times, it is a coincidence, i know, but way to spit venom, dick.

They made two promises on shipping dates, end of feb, end of april. I don't have my miners, do you? That is EVERY promise they have made. OH and the promise to be the best $ per gh/s. That one as well, so three. I would be fine if they didn't make any promises to begin with, but what ever. #logic

The price at which i would have to sell them without the power supply, even with a power supply. These things are going to be paper weights. I still have two ordered from black arrow. I don't want fucking 7 of them. No thank you.
