We have received the SMT assembled boards.
We are now proud to announce that Black Arrow has the most power efficient Bitcoin ASIC on the market today.
A single dual chip board is hashing with absolutely no errors at 1Ghz while using 150Watt at the wall, including the PSU loss.
We have better efficiency than 0.75Watts/ghash at the wall.

They don't mention what the hashrate is for that configuration though..
Just extrapolating here. 2 chips at 0.75w/gh = 200gh at 150w or 100gh per chip. Would love some clarification/pics. |

excellent! blackarrow, any updates about the 'technical solution' to power the units with our own power supplies? how much overclocking will the stock PSU allow? |

I have pics of the 2 chips running @ 210gh @ 160w at the wall, uploading is soooo slooow. That would be a pretty good result to get that at the rated hashrate. Has there been any testing to see how low it can go at lower hashrates? I have a Habanero with the HF chip running at 0.7J/GH at the wall and it could probably go down a little more with a purpose built low power board, but I'm not sure how much room there is below that. I'd be very interested if closing in on 0.5J/GH at the wall was possible. Bob, is there a timeline on the website being updated, and will an updated price to reflect the reality of the market be coming out? I'm interested in some chips, but I can't imagine spending the time and money doing the design if the $1.7/GH/s for chips in qty 5000 isn't cut at least in half. |

Thanks for the info. It went into fulfilled status a month or two ago. Was just curious if anyone else has a batch 2 order in the same status.
I'm really looking forward to these units. I flew over China a couple of days ago and waved to my chips on the way by :-)
My immediate future mining equipment will consist of BA and Habanero equipment. I think I have made good choices.

1: It shows a shipping and handling fee, can't it be shipped with the main order if I pay with btc?
2: If it can't, can I order 2 psus? (A friend also has an order for an X3)

Theres a picture of them hashing on my previous post, but this china internet is only allowing me to a picture every 10 min or so then plug your laptop in @ BA's office, im sure the have a better quality line No. China internet + firewall + ~50 people using the connection = slow. |

What about ordering 2 psus when I only have one X3 in order so I can split costs with a friend who has another order. I just got confirmation. ALL psus will be shipped separately, be it for normal X1/X3 or compensation, in order to reduce issues with weight related shipping (heavy PSU in one corner un balancing the box) and customs (not having to rip the miners open to check for compliance on the PSU). Hope this makes it clear. |
