Im looking to buy 32,132 HBN @ 3101 sat . I placed my buy order on Crypsy. So if you have a large quantity and want out. Its a little less than market, but heres your chance to unload a massive quantity if you want. Tranz Im sure you have extra you can spare to a loyal HBN lover? I would be willing to do an OTC with you, if interested. Its 1 BTC is my buy order, and im sure you know the price of btc went crazy today.
Vegas
It is amazing that 1 BTC gets you ~30,000 HBN nowadays.

Vegasguy, you are a few weeks/days late. I have been filling the ask side for a bit with coins I had in cold storage. I only have 20k of them left, and 10k are on Cryptys at 3500 sats. I am going to put up another 10k at the same price(or higher) once the current ask fills, and the coin age is staked. After that I am down to my initial investment, which I just can't part with.

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

A good mention of HBN in a banking article One such transfer vehicle, which goes unnamed in the paper, "was not considered a sufficiently mature technology at this time, but was identified for further exploration and monitoring given significant interest in the marketplace," the Fed said. Of the hundreds of cryptocurrencies that have sprouted up in the last few years, we're pretty sure the Fed is not referring to HoboNickels or PhilosopherStone.

Anyone great at programming for android? A phone wallet to stake would be fantastic. Would this ruin the phone?

It would be cool to have one to be able to receive and hold coins. However I think there is still some work to be done for the code base. In any event staking would consume a fair amount of resources. It may not break the phone, but it would drain the battery quickly and probably cause a good deal of heat while it is running.

Cool deal about the dice game. What is the website again, I will add it to the opening pages. Regarding the mac client. Not sure off hand. I do know there have been a few issues with it. I just finally got my first Mac. It is a 2010 air book. Nice little machine. I am using it currently to run and figure out the issues with the HBN client. So far I was up to block 1.5 million, syncing from peers, and I ran into some problems. Specially a similar issue to yours, which I was able to get around it by re-opening the client a few times. It manifests itself as the crash, but looking at the crash report, you would see this in the log: Application Specific Information: Assertion failed: (pindex->pprev || pindex->GetBlockHash() == (!fTestNet ? hashGenesisBlock : hashGenesisBlockTestNet)), function GetStakeModifierChecksum, file src/kernel.cpp, line 377. This generally means it is a corrupt block index. But some people have gotten around it by using -connect switch, or in my case just attempting to re-open it a few times. After I got past that error. I ran into another syncing issue, (I was almost done), so I closed and re-opened, then I got an error reading the block index, but not the assertion failure. In any event it was hosed. So I am now trying bootstrap the blockchain, and see if I can get to current that way.. Short of it, I am just now learning about the Mac side of this so I don't have a ton of helpful information yet. But your case "appears" to be a corrupt block index.

Money supply according to the debug console of the client is 8,816,651 HBN, but Coinmarketcap only reads 8,208,723 HBN. That makes our marketcap seem a little smaller than it actually is. Novacoin for example hasn't been updated either, whereas the number for Peercoins is always up to date.
Does anybody know if this is a known issue with Coinmarketcap? It benefits IPO-Scams over coins with honest mining.

Tranz, the "Current Block Info" and "Current PoS Block Info" tabs sometimes do not work. I have to click them several times or wait a little and try again. It's about 50/50 they show up or not.
I am using Windows 7 on an Intel Atom. It's a very slow CPU, so that could be the cause.

Hmm, I have been running Hobonickels for quite a while, on and off. Every now and then I forget about it.
The other day I started my client up. It didnt seem to work well and after a while I noticed HARD FORK UPGRADE!!
So I did but it still didnt work well, it re-downlownloaded the blockchain taking several days but never caught up.
So I started a fresh installation , it synced, shutdown and then and then put my wallet.dat in that and restarted.
Now I have 0.001 HBN and roughly 5700 unconfirmed worth of pos mined transactions.
Unless I am mistaken I have just lost the entire contents of my wallet due to the 1.5 hard fork, or is there a way to recover this? These are all dated within minutes of me starting the 1.4 client on the 31st Jan, after the hard fork on 17th.
No I didnt have any idea this was going on and I still dont understand why it was necessary. I thought such things were generally done slowly and with plenty of warning?

The issue is coinmarketcap is getting it's money supply from an old ABE explorer that is out of commission. They need to change to CCE API. Could I trouble you to ask them to switch?

One of the changes done in version 1.5 was how the gui and core held locks. When certain functions are called in the code, they have to hold certain pieces of information. The old version would allow the gui to always operate even if the core was busy. The new version only allows certain gui functions to work when the core is not busy. I do have some ideas to help this a bit in future updates. To both protect the core, and to allow a bit smoother gui.

The first warning of the hard fork was November 11, 2014. A full 3 months before version 1.5 took effect. It was necessary to fix multiple issues, including various attack vectors. Regarding your coins, they should be safe, as long as your wallet was backed up. What you need to do is start the gui with -zapwallettxes. This should clean up the missing transactions. Please be patient with this, it can take some time(30-60mins+) to rescan the block chain. If you need help on how to accomplish this, please let us know.

NURO is a fine example of a brain wallet running on android. saves a lot of power as long as you have a reliable chain to call and send tx's to.
