Is there a way to keep the wallet from alerting a stake in windows?  I have my computer in the living room and the alerts are getting old. I would rather not stop staking.

Thanks
Conscripted

Use the patched wallet version 1.5.1.0 from github: https://github.com/Tranz5/HoboNickels/releases/tag/1.5.0.0

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Hobonickels is not listed within a chart at coinmarketcap although it still can be found when typing hobonickels in a searchbox.
Does anybody know what is going on?

I get the message "Invalid HBN address", if trying to withdraw HBN from the cryptopia exchange. My address is right for sure, used it several times before.

... solved!

Just deposited some HBN and they were fully processed after just a couple of minutes. Withdrew some as well and same story. Got them after few minutes in my wallet...

Guess I am a lucky guy!

If it is still not correct, fill out a support ticket and include the transaction id.

To some degree, most wallets have such a function. Most likely cause for your increase is that some transactions had not been properly indexed in your wallet, and the repair wallet function found 'em and fixed 'em Cheesy It does more than remove orphans.

So guys.... what is the plan for HoboNickels?...

apparently good exchanges are not interested in HBN and CAP, i sent many emails and no answers.

Should we try to raise funds to pay to get somewhere? maybe they want some btcs to add old time coins like hbn and caps.

also, people are so silent here, not a surprise the exchange are not adding us, they probably think there is no community behind hbn and caps.

am i the only one that is panicking a bit for the future of those 2 coins?

-cheers

It might be that HBN and CAPS are more alive on cryptocointalk. I know tranz had mentioned that he preferred it there. I've been busy beyond belief for close to a year, now, and this is really the only forum I'm on these days. So that's speculation.

Same here.  I just look into BTCTalk now and again : Many posters are busy with other work.. busy communities are scarce.

Yobit added 2 really old coins today. LEAF & XJO both from 2013 so they don't mind old coins as long as they feel the volume will be there. Give them a try.

Every shitcoin in the universe is tenfolding now. Meanwhile HBN is at an ATL. Poloniex seems to get coins into attention a lot, I don't want to sound pessimistic, but that might be the last hope. But without active development, I don't think there will be many new investors and the volume would stagger, leading to a removal.

I like HBN more than any other coin. But that's just me. Or maybe nostalgia. I don't know. Anyway don't get too pessimistic. It's only crypto and eventually you can always sell them and buy some other coin. May take a little while but patience will get you anywhere.

Problem of Hobonickels is it is a one man show - Tranz.  I suggested to make something like hobonickels foundation which will push hbn to be more visible on very competetive cryptomarket - but no response to that . Until it stays like that hbn price, volume etc will only detoriate more and more ..

what such foundation should do :

-gather some coins from members and fans to pay:
- website
- paid articles on crypto servers
- pay to get to prime markets
- think of reshape and maybe rebrand the coin - I know this point might be controversial.
- pay for developement of services
- propagate within crypto friendly merchants
- something else which did not come to my mind yet..

Yea, I could stake there, if we get many people to stake for such fund, "stake for charity" may become a revolutionary feature

Or we could increase fees so Tranz/foundation gets a portion automatically (similar to dash fund)
