Website is back up and running. Still a few things to get worked out. But it is active once again.
Good work Tranz Last time I transferred the site from hosts, I couldn't figure out a decent way to get the wiki up and running without copy and pasting all of the articles Maybe you will have the skills

Wouldn't that remove the whole idea of encryption? The answer to your question is probably just don't encrypt your wallet. Is it possible to unlock the wallet at start with a command line option, i.e. HoboNickels-qt.exe -unlockwallet [password]? Can't see any similar option from those available. Thanks.

I have a suggestion for a wallet feature. Actually this would be good for wallets of all coins. Build in a informational bulletin board screen to notify users that they need to update in case of hard fork or other technical problem. You can also make other announcements concerning games bounties etc. Maybe build in a chat feature that runs 24/7 so people can check in and see what is happening in the HoboNickel coin community. I have become a real fan of this coin and believe the bigger the community and the participation the better.

I like the idea of a chat feature. Who would run it? Would it be decentralized also?

There are a few coins that have/had an IRC channel built in to the wallet. I had a few of those for a little while and didn't really see much activity. I see a lot more in the threads most likely because they're archived and you can search for info.
While I think the built in IRC isn't worth the effort, the "alarm" that can be sent out saying there is an official update available would be a great addition.

IRC is still in the wallet. It is off by default, it can be turned into a chat feature somewhat easily. I asked this question a while ago, it didn't seem like anyone actually wanted this feature much.

Hi Tranz,
I reported 2 days ago about S4C block selection in which size small seemed to win over priority. I had another block of about 9K staking today with the same effect. This time S4C decided to use a two day old block of about 4750 with 6000 confirmations (prio highest) over a newly created block of 4880 with 25 confirmations (prio < highest).
So it seems the algo just goes for the smallest block no matter what age it has. I don't want to be a bother but it think this impairs the S4C usability to some extend. I hope you have some time to check it out. Thanks!

I did see, just didn't get a chance to reply. I will do my best to update S4C to fix this issue. I still think it works quite well in its current form. But I tend to leave my blocks much smaller in size, so I wouldn't notice as much of an issue.

I am also trimming my blocks down and practically I am not too much hampered too, so I really wouldn't wanna give it any sense of urgency at all.

I am sure someone here can help. Quick guess is, the capitalization maybe off? Otherwise I think we might need the script you are running and/or the error log.

Getting the wiki backup and running. It got spammed by a bunch of bots, so I updated the security and added WYSIWYG editing to it. I got 1/2 the pages up so far. I'll get the others here soon as well.
If anyone wants access to add/edit pages, let me know. I will have to manually add you.

I am sure someone here can help. Quick guess is, the capitalization maybe off? Otherwise I think we might need the script you are running and/or the error log. capitalization? is in the conf file? Check your conf file, then check it again, then one more time. I can't tell you how many times I have wondered -- what the heck, and found I misspelled something. Also check your firewall (if windows)... are you inadvertently blocking the port you want to listen on? If your conf file in %appdata%\HoboNickels Here is sample I used named hobonickels.conf listen=1 daemon=1 server=1 rpcuser=someuserhere rpcpassword=somecrazylongpassword rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcallowip=192.168.172.* addnode=69.85.86.195 addnode=74.196.48.62 rpcport=10000 port=10001 Please pay attention to rpcallowip= If you do not have the right value here, internal network access will result in a socket timeout. NEVER USE rpcallowip=* -- I will steal all your coins
