My wallet is fully up to date with the new block chain.

I tried setting listen=1

That results in peers with "version" : 60007, connecting to me.

1) Is there a danger they could screw up my block chain?
2) Them being connected, does it slow performance with the valid peers?
3) Is there a way to "listen" but reject peer with "version" : 60007,?

Thanks,
Jason

Correction -  I am getting people with "version" : 60006, connecting to me.

rest of the above was asked correctly

Thanks, Jason

Damn it.  Ok, so I have been periodically checking for the PoS fix.  I downloaded the first "fixed" wallet, synced up, and went to sleep figuring my stakes would roll in overnight.  Well I woke up, and it was pretty obvious I was off on a fork.  I come back to the thread, and now there is a second fixed wallet, because apparently I wasn't the only one with this issue.  So I get the latest fixed client, delete the blockchain, and proceed to sync up.  Can anyone guess what happens next?  Yeah, my coins are gone now.  Possibly forever lost on a phantom fork?  I don't know, usually when this happens with a PoS coin, once I redownload the blockchain and get on the correct fork my coins reappear.

It was something like 7370 or 7870 coins, and all about to stake so a conservative estimate calls it about 10k TEK lost.

And no, I didn't back up my wallet.dat before running the first "fixed" wallet.  I know, that part is my fuck up and I should know better but yeah, I never felt like there was a danger of losing my coins and was just trying to sync as fast as possible and get to sleep.

Any suggestions?

First try a "repairwallet" in debug window. The wallet should check your transactions and your coin may reappear.

back up your wallet.dat

try the repairwallet command in the console, if no luck close the wallet and do the start tekcoin from command line with the -salvagewallet flag.

Why is Tekcoin connecting to the LFnet irc server? This is a security problem, that's why the irc connections have been disabled in the bitcoin protocol updates.

any information on this?

I'm guessing this is what Kaspersky is flagging as a trojan. Breakbeater's useful post shows how to override it, but that won't help when Kaspersky or other AVs refuse to download the files at all.

No answer yet for why Tekcoin connects to IRC in the first place? Was this just added? If so, why? (especially if it  can be overridden without consequence using breakbeater's conf file suggestion).

Thanks!

Most coins have irc included, it has been around for a very long time.  Not sure what the surprise is about?  We disabled it on Fluttercoin recently but we still need to go through and remove it from the code, it is no longer used as a sync option on our end.  Use of DNS seeds is an option to identify nodes unless you hard code a few in a conf file.  Last I checked tek source didn't have any dnsseed nodes listed, so irc may still play a role.
(May have added some during the fix)

 Wink people of TEK!!!
Just wait alittle and price will rise on Comkort to Cryptsy levels as volume rises.
peace.. remember just to hold it 20+ in your sell orders/// many people want to get in to the cryptoworld and get straight to minting and skipping the
fase of preorders..then waiting...waiting...mining...etc...
and TEK is proven way to get in!!!
TEK IS THE SHORTCUT TO THE CRYPTOWORLD

The minted rate changes depending on the pos diff is at that time, because of the recent hardfork and fix,  everyone was minting at the same time and it raised the pos diff rate very high. Since then pos diff has dropped dramatically. If the pos diff is high payments will be lower if pos diff is low payments will be higher.

This is a half-truth.
My first Coins are staking correctly  29.07.14  at level 40% POS difficulty was greater than the current difficulty.

After last fix coins arent staking correctly.  My best result was 27% ,  the worst under 20%.
It does not cover the monthly inflation

When I bought TEK, I believed your website
Most of crypto-currencies today are having big problems maintaining their huge cost for mining due to high electricity bill . Now with TEKCoin this is all OVER , with it’s perfect Stake reward 40%+(interest) after 30 days it pays your mining electricity bill without worry about .

Wink people of TEK!!!
Just wait alittle and price will rise on Comkort to Cryptsy levels as volume rises.

I lost several BTC and  sold out over 35,000 TEK coin. My loss was a victory for someone.
I do not think, Cryptsy price will rise after opening. I believe that we will see price 0.000099 BTC and even lower.

This is just my personal opinion of the current state.  Happy TEK mining.

I see that there is another exchange and the price is not falling.. it actually made highs.
All lost coins are connected to the fact that the diff level got up at the moment of everyones wallet was staking at the same time.. the diff level now is lower

What level of difficulty must be,  to obtain 40% ? 40 percent steking never coming back, If the wallet do not fixed.

Currently, the POS difficulty is  0.02974 and Net Hashrate 0.198 KH/s.

From this level steking  can not be over  20%.

Total TEK volume is only 2,1 million. What happens at the volume 20 million or 200 million ?
Who knows the answers?

Thanks for that. I'm still puzzled though. Addnodes have been recommended for tekcoin.conf files for weeks (months?) now, but the Kaspersky IRC trojan flag just showed up with the most recent compiled Windows version. Looks like I'm at an impasse - I can't use the new version without bypassing Kaspersky which I'm reluctant to do on the machines in question for obvious reasons (Windows).     Wink

So far the advice is "just trust it". I appreciate the advice, internet strangers, but - you know - nothing personal. Call me chicken. Put it down to the fact that I was an early BFL customer (40ish BTC down the drain).

Bottom line for me so far - I won't use the compiled Windows version until Kaspersky is satisfied with it again. No big deal - I'm not in a hurry - and I certainly acknowledge that this may be a fuss over nothing.

Downloaded the update and wallet still will not sync with network it is showing over 13000 blocks reaming I have had PC running for days now and it still has not complete updating.  After reading a bit I noticed there was a Fix update but that is being blocked and instantly deleted by Kapersky when the extracted file is opened this was never a issue before when downloading the wallets or updates so it makes me also a bit leery of trying to go around Kapersky.  Is there any other fix to get my wallet up and running.

Thanks AquaTron
