Hey Rob, nice to see you make an appearance on this thread. I been trying to keep this bad boy going for ya! Smiley I am very excited about the POR GRC making it to the exchanges. I think that will be a pivotal moment in Gridcoin history.

Any update on Mac version?
Mac Version is packaged for Yosemite, head over to https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/13139-os-x-builds-feedback-bug-reporting/page-3 and post, if you want to see some action in that direction again, or build it yourself from source.

I apologize for not being able to spend as much time as I would like here - Greetings everyone!

Thank you everyone for keeping this coin alive and this thread rolling.

3 Billion and now we are on the first page of boincstats!  Amazing news!

Anyway, I wanted to stop by and give a couple of updates now that the skies are clearing:

1)  After our long delay I think we are 7 days out from listing research on the exchanges; I am reaching out to the exchanges today to get reacquainted.

2)  CryptoBlox has graciously agreed to provide our GridcoinResearch block explorer; we are now working together to compile it.

3)  Regarding Mac Builds:  The code does compile on a mac and has been tested;  the latest build works perfectly in linux on QT & Headless;  we need a volunteer configuration manager to do regular builds so we can link to the compiled Mac versions.

Happy New Year!

Rob

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

This sounds interesting, I am not very familiar with SuperNET, but I will let the developer of Gridcoin know.

Hello everyone! To allow the SuperNET (www.supernet.org, MultiGateWay, InstanDEX, ...) to support this coin I would like to kindly request the following data:

Default RPC port
Minimum transaction fee
Estimated block time in seconds
daemon file
Exact spelling of the conf file with path for
Windows
Mac
Linux

##
Example (Bitcoin)
Default RPC port: 8332
Minimum transaction fee: 0.0001
Estimated block time in seconds: 600
Daemon file: bitcoind

Exact spelling of the conf file with path for
Windows: Bitcoin\bitcoin.conf
Mac: Bitcoin/bitcoin.conf
Linux: .bitcoin/bitcoin.conf
##

Currently we're looking for successful coins compatible with the Bitcoin RPC.

Please reply to my post here or write an email to info@supernet.org, or use this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1zIxff1hXiSC3MkQRXtkBe3KOymVaAp8NYwpYyuXRYPo/viewform

Feel free to send the data for any other Bitcoin RPC compatible coin you would like to see supported by Supernet. If you would like to be invited to sprnt.slack.com, our main communication platform, please send me your email address.

All the best,
noashh

Would you mind to do us a fair favor and link to our page in your postings?
Thank you man and all the best!

any news about GRC PoR's exchanges?
Was thought to be today, but too many people are still reporting issues with the current build. Rob also announced that he added some security patches, so it will probably be some time still untill the new client finally arrives at the exchanges.

Yep, we are getting close and closer. I would say another 1-2 weeks max before we hit the exchanges.

All of us added a lot of Q&A to http://wiki.gridcoin.us/FAQ but it has gotten messy with time.

So, we structured the questions (nearly 60 already) into categories and sub-headings.

Please check for consistency and update info where you find necessary. Thanks!
