I used the latest download I made today, but seems to be an old one on gridcoin.us. Now syncing started with updated client, thanks!

Do you know, why there is no zip-version of the client to download at the moment? I used it a few weeks ago?

Would just like to thank the developer Rob for helping me get some coins that were stuck to the exchange user they belonged to.  I'm very thankful and it shows that he is an honest dev working hard for all.

Thanks again Rob!

This is a very interesting discussion on the Gridcoin reddit page about the commercial applications of Boinc like 3D rendering and modeling and how Gridcoin can apply itself. I think there is huge potential there for Gridcoin to get involved in. Imagine team Gridcoin rendering entire 3D films, how cool would that be!

Most people are more interested in the latest pump and dump coin!

Is there a whitepaper somewhere?
I think the future of PoW-crypto lies in BOINC and BOINC-like functions, I'm surprised there is so little interest in this...

I'm now involved in helping a few coins emerging, and we talk about serious projects and not pump and dumps.

I'm huge fan of GRC, I just think it needs a bigger team where there are some news every day, wallet development receives updates daily and there are precise ETAs.

There are many coins out there, but to get people interested is not enough to get a revolutionary idea (GRC it is such for me), people need to see that there's a full time team of several people able to guarantee prompt updates, new implementations, support, constant new projects, and a PR team actively pushing all this on socials, engaging people etc.

Both on Twitter and on IRC that's the main complaint I receive. Once GRC will have more devs implementing in a few days all the long due updates to wallet and mining software, for all platforms and in an easy way, then it will explode and I agree could be the future of PoW coins.

If not clear, I'm not only investor in GRC holding a big amount, but I genuinely think is one of the best ideas for a coin, if not THE best Smiley

Once the new cpu mining with POB(proof of boinc) is released things will get very interesting.

That's good to hear, and sounds very interesting indeed!

Just keep in mind that to get back the trust from people will need much more than that, it could be something but just a start (and it will need to be super simple to use and cross platform).

People will wonder what will happen next, when there will be the next update or project, because only in that way they'll know it's worth buying GRC and holding it because value will be sustained.

Anyway good work! We talked privately before, if you need help (when I do it I just do it for free obviously) just DM me and I'll give you some reference about what I'm doing now for other coins Smiley

Looking forward to the POB implementation.

Hello! I can't sync my wallet. I've tried adding various nodes from different posts and no luck. I also tried to type 'upgrade' in the console and after what looks like some file downloads I get an error saying 'An exception occurred during a WebClient request..' over and over.

I've tried with normal and beta versions on 2 different computers with the same results. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?

What OS are you running, did you add gridcoin wallet exception to windows firewall?

Hate to rain on u guys parade but... If I can't download the wallet from the manufacturers website now and have it sync, what's the point?  Assume I'm not mining, Boincing or know this forum exists, that I bought or someone gave me some Gridcoin, where am I to store it?  Not going to .conf this or delete that app data and then spin my head and enter this line in the whatever.  Who's going to use this coin other than miners, geeks, tweebs, losers, etc.  Back to the point, no wallet no coin no future except for miners.
