Black Arrow Update 5/15/2014 We have stocked all required parts, except the LCDs and cases for X1 which are due to be delivered next week. The miners are in production including the X1 boards. Several software issues have hold the shipment for few days but we expect to start shipping any day now. http://ecointalk.net/gallery/album/22-15-may-production-update/any new info thomas? Clearly not, DZ communication is piss poor. I was also disappointed to note thomas is now part of minersource, so any DZ neutrality that was there is definately out of the window now. DZ himself has not been online/involved for months due to his personal issues- so what would you like us to have done, dropped all support for this GB? If the DZ coop organisers were unable or unwilling to discharge their duties that they undertook freely, then yes, organising a proper withdrawal with a refund to us all and apology would have been far more honest and preferable to this serepticious, unvoted for transfer of control to a for profit corporation!

All refund requests were accepted and approved, from R17 this was after DZ stopped being active in the thread, 1 month before BA was officially late and well after I joined with minersource. If we weren't "with" minersource then the entire GB would be waiting for a refund to be approved by BA.

I'm sorry you don't see it Thomas, but there is a massive difference between what I just said should have happened and what you just decribed actually happened. I don't want to get into an argument with minersource, it's counter productive and largely academic at this stage, but I would point out that even now, nobody has answered phillipma's original question!

I don't want to get into an argument with minersource, it's counter productive and largely academic at this stage, but I would point out that even now, nobody has answered phillipma's original question! I was waiting for an update btw here it is 22 May 2014 Prospero X3 We experienced a few serious technical issues with the backplane PCB which unfortunately delayed the completion of the Prospero X3. Our engineers spent the whole week debugging the problem without finding yet a working solution. We solicited expertise from 3rd parties and we are now having 3 different teams working on the issue around the clock. Please note that we are not in the position to estimate a completion time. It is possible that the fix could be solved as early as tomorrow or as late as next week. We decided as a safety measure to start redesigning 2 extra versions of the backplane PCB. The first complete bug free version will be used in production. Deadline delays are never welcome news therefore we decided to offer the following optional packages available immediately which might be suitable for a minority of anxious customers who are able to build their own miner based on the Minion chip: Option 1: Replace each Prospero (2 Thash) including the compensation package (1Thash) with 50 Minion ASICs (up to 7 Thash) or Option 2: Replace each Prospero (2 Thash) including the compensation package (1Thash) with 20 Hashboards (each PCB includes 2 x Minion ASIC, heatsinks, power chips, inductors, capacitors) – 4.5 Thash. Note that due to the lack of a backplane these boards have not been intensively tested therefore further rework might be required (e.g: add some capacitors); should this work be required we will only provide documents on what needs to be done. The customer will be responsible of executing it and purchasing the parts. Note: Opting for any of these options will not cancel your 25% discount for your next Minion orders. We would also like to ask from help from the technical community to help speed up solving the issues that we have encountered or to design a new backplane. The solicited work will be rewarded accordingly (money, products, etc.) Prospero X1 Prospero X1 miners are not affected by the issue mentioned above and we should start shipping next week once the cases will be delivered. Note: To avoid any further delay we have the option to deliver the case-less X1 if any of the customers will choose so. Please contact out customer support should you choose any of the options above.

to thomas and to bob. you guys made money for me and you always treated me pretty well. I can see why other buyers are more angry then i am. as they may not have had any winning buys from you.
I read the update and I have only 5 shares left in this buy. As I read this it appears that we will be further delayed.
Hopefully june but as I said even if I lose the 630 usd I have here. even if I lose the 195 / 1.5btc in round 1 I will still be 3or 4 k in the black due to the r5.r6,r9-r12 gains that I made with the group.
So I will always take a look in on this r17.
To all those that got really stuck here I offer one ray of hope. 13.5 months after a complete f over from BFL they gave me a full refund.
maybe this will get better down the road. I never expected to see a bfl refund. So maybe this will hash in june and come close to paying off.
Good luck to all of us with money on Black Arrow as they look very dark in the sense of making any coins right now.

Thanks for the updates, looks like It was a good move to hold all my shares (6) Anyway, why DZ doesn't have any new offers on their website? Somewhere DZ posted he wanted out of the coop due to the vicious attacks against him including nasty shit written about his daughter. He posts once in a while but in general I believe he is mentally burnt out over this. I held 5 of 12 and I am glad I did as the coop has been good to me. We will not be making another GB like this- from now on if anything it will be for in hand shipping hardware with an individual hosting option. We ended up making a loss on most of the GBs, and between the Hashfast, KnC and BA problems, we decided at this time that it is not worth pursuing further at this point in time. I also didnt appreciate the personal attacks against myself and that of my employees, but not to the extent that DZ faced. You lost your money or other peoples money? The way DZ was pumping out group buys without even giving much thought was sketchy to me. Especially when he tried to get people to go in on ATM's without even ironing out the logistics first. He was happy to collect BTC as quick as possible then everything goes dark. I'll be happy when I get my refund for round 7 if that ever happens. of course he had to collect the atm money quickly if you don't act fast in this game you lose. they collected all the atm money and gave it back right away (sounds like a lot of work to me and zero profit to them) On a side note when i saw the opportunity to get in on a group buy for an ATM i ran down to the ATM in vancouver and pumped a bunch of fiat into it and bought in 225 bucks a bitcoin.those jerks forced me to double my money!! . kind of like when i spent two bit coins on the dz neptune buy ,sure it didn't work but it wasn't their fault and as it happened i got to cash out two bit coins at the almost perfect time! Anyone who has a problem with the dz co op probably 1. never dealt with them and is just an idiot 2. blames them for something that is their own fault . you chose the wrong asic company the dmz just let you chose a small percentage of the wrong asic company.

I was one of the OG's that stuck it out during the first refund wave. But I am starting to doubt Black Arrow will ever come through. I bought this share back in December. We are a week away from June.
Not saying I want a refund, but I mean...c'mon Black Arrow.

i refunded 7 shares and kept 5 shares. I would have preferred cashing them all out but that is just a case of hindsight being 2020

You should be able to get a refund any time up until they deliver the kit. Having said that, i've asked for one after that last update and been met by stoney silence so far!

Latest BA update is not at all encouraging... 30 May 2014
Minion ASIC We have dispatched all Minion orders. Prospero X1 The first Prospero X1 miner was sent to the first customer. The first version has included a Raspberry Pi. This is a temporary solution until we will have the clearance from our engineering team that the control board is bug free and passes the endurance test. The X1-Miner was produced at full spec and contains an aluminium case. It does not contain the LCD. However, we will equip the miner with LCD and Touch Screen once the control board will be incorporated. Mass production in under way and shipping will start from the beginning of next week. Prospero X3 The technical issues discovered with the backplane PCB were not fully resolved. The 3 teams pursued different avenues with the same goal and encouraging progress was made. One team will be completing a brand new design by tomorrow. The 2nd version of the PCB will be also ready in the next 2-3 days. The other teams continued the debugging process and replaced some of the components with view to stabilise the performance. Note: There are no Prospero miners X1 or X3 which are hashing on any of our facilities. Our first priority is to deliver the miners to our customers.
