Hi, We all are aware about the impact of third party booking sites on our lives. We all are affected from this but, the main thing is Hotels are also suffering from commissions and conditions imposed by current OTAs. So how much money do hotels lose when customers use Hotels.com and similar websites?
Actually, These sites like Hotels.com and others are OTAs. Hotels totally dependent on these third parties now a days. There is a huge “direct booking” movement in the hotel industry centered around just this issue. In 1996 when Expedia was founded, these fees were ~5% which is very normal. Today those fees can be as high as 25% for independent hotels which is astonishing and kills profitability for these businesses.

We can see GOeureka is a travel tech company that uses block chain technology to build a hotel booking platform. They also have a mission to decentralize the hotel booking sector and provide better transparency by allowing hotels to connect directly with their customers and removing all third parties. GOeureka coming up with such nice features already stands it out in the industry.

Hi all, as we know that GOeureka is going to finish the role of any middle man(Online travel agencies). So how will they drive Community Development and  Direct Guest Connection?Because we all know that By using GOeureka platform we can save our hardened money that we were wasting to pay commissions to the third parties.
As much as I know about it, GO will engage the community by creating a sandbox that enables developers, travelers, and hoteliers to propose new ideas and features for the platform. Consumers will be rewarded for features implemented within the GO platform, and together the future of online hotel booking can be shaped by everyone.
I like to explain about Direct Guest Connection,  Unlike OTAs, which are known to withhold email information and/or share only limited guest data with hotels, GO operates solely as an intermediary, allowing hoteliers and travelers to connect and engage directly. Connecting travelers to their hotels from the start means that for the first time the hotel customer’s journey remains uninterrupted. Guests will know they’re being looked after from the time of booking, through the duration of their stay, and right up till the point they check out.
The friendliness area is the second biggest supplier in the worldwide travel industry and is at present overwhelmed by online travel organizations. OTA's create around 70% of online lodging appointments and this has affected on the inn's immediate appointments, overall revenues and unwaveringness programs.

So for example,  if a hotel sells a room for $200 and it costs $90 to clean/manage. They make $110 gross profit (before general expenses) on that room. If Hotels.com gets 20% of that they take $40 so the profit drops to $70. In other words that hotel just lost 36% of the profit on that room. That’s why now a days people are really recommending a new platform GOeureka. By using this platform one can book easily a hotel room in his desired hotel. Most importantly this site gives customers a direct access to hotels without charging a bit of extra cost.

there are a lot of channel managers in the market, but GOeureka is going to offer the best and unique features at the lowest costs. The idea behind the GOeureka platform is very unique. Here are a few attractive features of the GO platform:
Manage Bookings Easily: -It is easy to View all your bookings together. Confirm, cancel, view all your bookings from different customers.
Hotels Integration; -GO will provide APIs for these hotels to link their inventory and reservation systems.
Manage Inventory and Pricing at the same place
Loyalty Programme, etc.

In today's market, Booking.com is a huge name for online hotel booking Industry. Most importantly we all are aware that this is also an Online Travel Agent (OTA), which called a middle man or third party. So how does Booking.com make money? Or what percentage they charge from hoteliers and consumers as well.

Well, Booking .com actually makes money through charging hotels for selling their inventories. Booking .com is a giant OTA, and they have millions of travelers who visit their site to find a hotel to live in. And to help out those travelers, they come up with a list of available hotels. And when some one books a hotel by this site only then Booking .com makes profit.

They direct charge from hoteliers. they charge a commission fees, around 16% - 23%. And that hefty commission fees is their only source to make money with their agent-based business model. Hoteliers can easily avoid sharing their profit with OTAs like Booking. Com by using a new platform GOeureka. By using this platform the individual and hotels as well are saving a bug of money from OTAs. It won’t just help them avoid those commission fees, but helps them to increase their brand awareness and reach out directly to their users.

Now a days there are lots of Online travel agencies in the Industry. Like agoda.com, make my trip.com, Booking .com, Expedia etc. are doing good in this field. From couple of months we are watching ads on television of Trivago. So basically I just want to know that Trivago is also an OTA or something else? And how they make money?

Basically Trivago is a global hotel search platform. Trivago does not book a hotel directly. They redirect the page to OTAs. Trivago also claims to help users get the best rates by comparing a million hotels across over 250 booking sites. However, users can’t book via Trivago; they can only choose the hotel, after which they’re redirected to traditional online travel agencies (such as Priceline, Ctrip and Expedia).

If we talk about the revenue or how do they make money, The commissions from hotels listed on Trivago sites, which is called referral revenue. This revenue is earned when users click on a particular hotel from the search results. Hotels are charged based on a cost-per-click (CPC) basis, whereby booking sites pay Trivago for the clicks that users make on Trivago when selecting hotel booking deals.

Well, if we talk about more revenue , CPC for each spot is determined through a bidding process that takes place on the Trivago marketplace. The second way is the subscription fee: the fees that hoteliers pay for using the services provided by Trivago. So basically this is a global hotel search platform. It  redirect the page to OTAs, to avoide the charges of OTAs and to book a hotel directly, a new platform Goeureka  is really doing great in this field. One can choose their desired hotels along with the room and respective key. This service is total online and very easy. This is quite beneficiary to hotels along with the consumers. To save time and money this new platform is fully recommended.

Is your service already offered by a centralized entity? If so, why does decentralizing it make it better? Who is/are your competitors and how are you going to deal with them?

No, i don't think so they are registered with any centralized entity at the moment. They will release their working prototype in the end 2018 or the beginning of 2019. Goeureka is one of the best survivable project in ota industry who is using blockchain technology.
