It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I hate to see the RaspberryPi left behind, but 512MB was tight to begin with.

There are tiny computers with 1G and 2G RAM, like the Cubies, Odroid, and some Android sticks.

No RaspPis right now. Do you hear us, marketing folks? Conference attendees?

I've got an oDroid U3 I'm still trying to set up.. ordered it from Korea without a microSD.. genius.

Ugh, against my better judgement, after reading about bad experiences with BTER, I sent some NXT there. One amount arrived, the second amount did not. The blockchain explorer says they received it.

I have emailed support in english and chinese asking them to look into it. No response yet.
Is there a better way?

No wallets are coming out. We at nxt only uses passwords/passphrase/brainwallet
Type in anything in the nxt client after pressing the unlock button and it will be your account, remember to use a really long (30characters/symbols+) jiberish password that makes no sense and write it down somewhere. I printed mine out. If your password is hellothisismypassworditisreallylong then your nxt will be stolen in less than a minute after depositing. Make your password something like helLo101this*(*ismy*(&$^&pass<><.,;'{word31it(*&isHJHreally+_+{LonG&**

two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity

I like your what you said here.  Grin

Has anyone put together a guide for configuring web.xml to run a public hallmarked node?  It's been so long since I configured my web.xml.  For example, should I change the value of "myport" to 7875 if I'm using 7875 to connect to NRS?

Ok, so where can i get a good and simple nxt wallet?? aren't there any yet?

There is NO wallet. Your password IS your account. Make sure you have a strong enough password.
There are a couple of clients like solaris in betas, when finished they will be announced by the devs.

my password for what??

http://nxter.org/new-to-nxt/

seems complicated lol

when is a wallet coming out?

We use brainwallets.

Problem with that: You need a brain...  Grin

Since you are a little bit smarter than most new nxters around here, i highly recommend using this auto installer here http://www.mediafire.com/download/51ipys4v4rblbvd/Nxt_0.6.1_Web_Setup.exe
