Hey guys, I have an Idea on how to get 3000 (or lets say 2000) new users.
How about we use 1.500.000 NXT to give each of the 3000 NEM participants 500 NXT? They are a very motivated community, and we can market it like: " Check out our working system while you wait for NEM" Thoughts?

how does candy crush make profit? the phone companies pay them right?
Well, i guess there lies the problem. No, if anything then Candy Crush has to pay the app store They make their money with playing ads in the apps. Also with ingame purchases to unlock certain things! With your idea, they wouldn't earn the ingame purchases + lose money from the giveaway. Not very self-sustaining.

Even if you give 3000 of them 500NXT each, alright it's something (actually it's a lot in terms of $ and free money), but in terms of NEM (how much of a relative stake they will have there), they will just say "meh, keep it". 500NXT is nothing compared to the millionares here.

Every new release to the mainnet will be very important from now on. I vote for calling a clear release date/deadline so we can use; nxtcountdown.comWe can invite/inspire more new users with this method. But also educate them with a little text/video or redirect them to other NXT websites to keep nxtcountdown.com clean. 15 May for Asset Exchange for example. imho, having a countdown may not be that much of a great idea after all, look at how Coutnerparty AE went live. the announcement was made 2-3days before the actual release on main net, and things went smoothly so far, price has even pickep up a bit. In contrast, mastercoin announced the release of its AE long ago before the actual date with all the countdown and expectation and stuff, just to (again imho) disappoint most of the users. and yes u guess it right on the price part, it dropped significantly. i am not a fan of a countdown, i prefer short notice of 2-3days before the actual release. I'm happy with everything. 3 days before or 1 month, it doesn't matter. We should just do it. If we do it 3 days before. The person who brings the new version on the mainnet should communicate with us before he/she does it. That's the part I'm afraid of. We don't communicate now when somethings published on the mainnet. So... Who can communicate/manage this so we can promote this big coming features of NXT?

that would be like giving it back to us. if you look at the stakeholder list or at the thead, more than 1/3 of the accounts have nxt account in their sig
