After you change the router IP address to 192.168.1.1, your PC or laptop will temporarily loose connection with the router. As long as the PC/Lap are set for DHCP, you should be able to disconnect, then reconnect to the router. If you are wired, try unplugging the ethernet cable, then reconnecting. If you are wireless, try disconnecting the connection, then reconnect.
After you get connected again with your router, try typing the IP address of the Cube into your browser: 192.168.1.254:8000
Hopefully you can configure the cube with a new IP address (ideally use the other Cube's IP address plus one, 192.168.10.201 if your other cube is 192.168.19.200, for example). Also set your pool address, port #, username, pass, etc.
After all of the cube setting are correct, go back into your router setup page (it has changed to the new IP address that you temporarily set, 192.168.1.1). Now change the router IP address back to the old 192.168.10.1. Reconnect your PC/laptop to the router and then you should see the second cube on the network.

I wish I could help you, but I don't know why you cannot connect. You currently are running one Cube without any issues right? The only thing that I think could be effecting it is that your router and your computer are not on the same subnet, one is on 10 and the other 1... How did you get your first Cube running correctly? How come you cannot replicate that course of action? I got the first one running by using 192.168.1.1 on both the IP and Gateway. I finally got both to the same addy this time too, but still could not connect. I have used both my laptop and desktop. It is almost 9am hear and I have been at this since 5:30. I don't know if I can access the router set up page or not. I will try and report back. If I recall correctly, your router's (gateway's) IP address is 192.168.10.1. Try to type this into your browser. Right. I am in the admin of my wifi router. The information is IP address: 192.168.10.1 Default gateway is also 192.168.10.1 Now that I am in the admin of the router, what do I do? Is it safe to change the IP address? If I change the IP address will I be able to log back into the router and change it back? You can change the router's IP address, but MAKE SURE your laptop or PC are set to DHCP and not a static IP address. If your PC/laptop have static addresses, you will be unable to connect to the router's new address (because it will be on a different subnet). You can confirm this by going to your network adapter properties. Under IPv4, you should see it set up to "Obtain an IP address automatically."

It won't let me change the IP. I get the following error. Access Error: Data follows IP address is identical to WAN Plus when I change the IP the gateway changes as well. Then I click apply, and that is when I get the error.

It doesn't matter, as long as it has the same subset as the Cube's.

One thing that I noticed is not to be too hasty when your browser says it can't find that address you are using. Somehow I noticed that if I tried to connect a second or third time WITHOUT making any changes, it would connect. What was happening is that I would instantly change something, and it wouldn't connect then either. I just happened to notice that this happened. Thank Jeebus.

Google Chrome could not connect to 192.168.10.2 EDIT: Disregard that last. I can access the router from a different computer. But not the cube.

Great discussion! I have learned alot about this cube I just got and am trying to get setup. My problem is that my router is a Netgear WNDR3400v2 and every device on my home network has an IP address something like 10.0.0.1 and to make matters worse when I am on the status page of the router it recognizes all the devices on the network with the exception of the cube. Anyone else have experience with the Netgear network? Thanks, Kern
Best solution is to game your Netgear router to 192.168.1.1. If you have any devices on your network with static addressed, you will need to change them to the new gateway range. I all your devices are dhcp, one little change and you're done. Alternately you could change the ip address of the cube, but the simple solution is just to change the gateway address of the router. My netgear router is also set to 10.0.0.1 and my cubes are set to 10.0.0.81 - 84 and work just fine. Usually netgear routers will change their IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 10.0.0.1 if they are behind another router on the network to prevent any conflicts. You can always hit the factory reset on the router if you want or manually change it back if you would like.

I am out of the game for now. I decided to take a break for a while. So I disconnected the trouble cube and plugged the PSU into the cube that I got working yesterday, and when I hit the on switch, the PSU just sat there like a big shiny paper weight. Yep, blew a 1000 watt Zalman power supply. Thankfully I can return it as it is only a week old.
Yesterday this cube did the same thing with a 700 watt PSU, so now I am wondering if I got hold of a faulty cube (or two). I know it is unlikely, but not entirely out of the realm of possibility.

Thank you, I have some idea about Eligius, but I'll work on that later. Right now, the Cube has been running about 3 hours, and Slush says it's running at 8779.13 Mhash/s. That can't be right.
It really can't be running that slow, can it? The power supply is a brand new, dedicated, paper-clipped Corsair, CX600. That should be plenty.
Slush's Mhash doesn't show real time stats. Give it a few hours and you should see the same numbers.

Did u try taking out the blades and pluggin them one by one to make sure each one runs on its own on the cube ? That might help if u haven't. So, first run the cube without any blades. If it doesn't power, u have a faulty cube. Then start one blade at a time.

Yes. You have to remove the end plates and unplug the fan. The push the blades and card out of the case. Remove each card and make sure the screws holding the heat sink are securely in place. After you have tightened all the screws, reseat the blade back onto the bottom board. Next reinsert the blades back into the case. Connect the fan and secure the fan plate to the frount of the cube. Make you that you get the red status light in the hole next to the ethernet connection. This can be a little tricky, but it is important that it is done correctly or you may damage the lead. After installing the front plate, put the back plate on the back of the case. If all went well, you are now ready to configure the cube.

If the cube shutdown within 1-2sec after powering up, your PSU probable got overloaded by the surge in the current draw. Try with a different PSU if you have.

Try with a different PSU if you have. but only with the fkn fuse Yes, because the unit will not run and draw noticeable power without it. With no fuse in the Cube, *only* the fan will run - no other components get power. Which is as it should be - I don't want expensive components getting unfused (i.e. unprotected) power.

I think from start to finish, opening it, pulling the blades and tightening all the screws, and putting it back together, took all of 10 minutes, tops. Most of the screws were somewhat loose, and two of the blades weren't hardly seated. If I EVER get my hands on those little Chinese slave children....

I can't get my cube to connect to the proxy - any help appreciated.
