Pennies are not intended to be valuable. This was a just for fun coin, a proof of concept on eliminating decimals. That's it. I'll fix it but I'm not going to try and make it "valuable".

Doubloons 0.10.0.0 wallet has been compiled and is curreently uploading to the binaries repo! (Source is also up in the source repo.)
This will fix the diff roller coaster by reducing the retarget window to something more reasonable, also fixes ridiculous tx fees. Changes will take effect in January 2014 so update your clients by then!
Check the OP for links.
*Note: it may be awhile for the upload to finish, I have a terrible internet connection. Please be patient.

So let everybody have fun and earn at the same time, Mr Catman, just to remind my offer of helping or setting up bounty for pennies development, like website, casino sites etc, or you suggest, regards arajdhariwal

I'm not changing anything, this has been the case for the coin since shake made it, he never even announced it anywhere. It's always been a for-fun coin and if people want to invest in it that's fine, but I'm not going to take any responsibility for your monetary loses. You're investing in monopoly money as far as the devs are concerned.

Where's a link to a client download for CENTS?
Can we have binary repos like shake did? It was really helpful for keeping up to date.
It's in the OP. The new doubloons wallet will be released in the same place when it's compiled. That is not what I meant. I mean one repository for each client/platform that is non-compressed directory like what Doubloons had ( https://github.com/geocoin/doubloons-qt.git) and what Argentum has ( https://github.com/AlphaC4/ArgentumQT.git). Like I said, it makes it super easy to keep your wallet clients up to date.

Hi guys, I'm the person who submitted the latest update to Doubloons so just to clarify what exactly this update changes: - The minimum transaction fee is now 0.001 DBL (down from 0.1). This change comes in immediately so lower fees for sending coins is a definite incentive to update ASAP.
- As from 1st January 2014 at 00:00:00 GMT the new version will stop accepting connections from older doubloons versions. This is to ensure all clients are on the same hymn sheet for what is to come later.
- From block 150,000 Doubloons will switch to difficulty retargeting every 30 blocks instead of the current 720 blocks. It will also be limited to +/- 110% (down from +/- 400%). This should bring an end to the current roller coaster situation as the changes will be gradual and evaluated much more frequently than currently.
I've also submitted a pull request for a potential Proof of Stake fix for CENT which will drastically reduce the stake that is causing hyper inflation. Users will need to update before 1st January 2014 at 00:00:00 GMT after which the new version will no longer accept new connections from older versions. To further enforce this update the new client will no longer accept blocks from older versions (which may still remain connected) past this deadline. Exactly 7 days after this deadline (8th January 2014 at 00:00:00 GMT) the new Proof of Stake values will kick in and reduce stake by a factor of 10,000. This would mean a transaction of 100,000 would generate approximately 90 CENT on top of the original stake after the typical 9 days it takes for stakes to happen. Of course this is subject to review and approval by The_Catman as the new coordinator of these coins but I believe such a drastic reduction in the Proof of Stake is now essential if there is to be any future for this coin.

Thank you for your detailed post. Could you please explain what happens to existing CENT when the new system kicks in? Some people writing in this thread have hundreds of millions and some have billions of CENT in their wallets. Will these remain as or will there be some modification made to them? Thank you

All CENT created up to the deadline would still exist and be spendable.
When the deadline passes there will be a fork with old client versions going one way and new client versions going another and refusing to accept blocks from the older versions which means any stake generated by an older version past this point would not be valid.
After a further week the new stake rules would kick in.
Key to the success of this would be to get cryptsy to update their client to the new version. This should make others follow suit as they will need to use the new version in order to send their coins to crytpsy.
