Proposed stake fix
This update will require all users to update to the new client version
before January 1st 2014 at 00:00:00 GMT after which:

Older client versions will no longer be able to initiate a connection to
this version.

This version will no longer accept blocks from any older versions that
remain connected in the interim.

Seven days after older versions are disconnected (8th January 2014 at
00:00:00 GMT) the new stake percentage will take effect. This will be a
massive reduction to prevent further over inflation from this point
forward.

Send this info to as many people as you can Let is hope pennies coins will make nice value

my question: the upper limit of a singal withdrawal from Cryptsy to wallet is 99999999, what about the opposite withdrawal? i mean from wallet(old version and new version) to Cryptsy, what is the upper limit of a singal withdrawal?

Cryptsy should add CENT on exchange after update client to new... let is wait for their move... still we have time, dont worry they can do it after new year

About new stakes and deadline it is confirmed news...

Deposit can be max. 1 b, withdraw from cryptsy can be max. 100 m , until now it was like that, let is ask the_catman will it change in new clients ?

This will take care of the amount of coins mined in the future. It should be kept to an amount where it is profitable for miners to still mine coins ,and or increase transaction fees to keep the network alive. As far as reducing the amount of current coins in circulation, some friends and I are in talks about the pros/cons of buying x amount of coins and destroying them (sending them to black hole, putting on paper wallet and then destroying the wallet, etc)- therefore reducing the "float". We are trying to determine how many we can destroy while hopefully still being profitable for us and everyone involved.

There is no upper limit of what your wallet can hold, only of what the GUI can display and what you can send in a single transaction (as far as I'm aware).

That value is 1billion, as that is the MAX_MONEY value used by the getwork system. I could fiddle around with some variables to get the wallet to display higher values, but it isn't really a priority. If you need to send more than 1bil. to one person, try sending multiple transactions.


I have no idea why Cryptsy's max withdrawal is 100mil. I don't work for cryptsy.

As I understood it, this is the reason why Bter halted deposits:

So a fix in this area would help Pennies tremendously.

We can look into increasing the transaction sizes after the stake fix is locked in, that is the priority. In the interim there's nothing to prevent bter from writing a software solution to split the amounts into values under 1 billion if they use account to account transfers when initiating a trade.

For sure, BTER want to have own stakes and own prices that is the reason... there is no any problem deposit CENT anywhere ... it is sick 1b limit of deposit is too high for them anyway, they have just a few coins like that they are cheaters... i was waiting 3 weeks for answer about cent there and i didnt get until now ... LOL SERVICE for me

Back when CENT was first launched, was there any marketing, website etc?

I tried sending 14Bil cents at once to a friend. the wallet crashed and the balance reduced, but the person didn't receive the tx. I tried salvaging the priv keys to another pc but no effect :-( any suggestions?
