It is not strange. It is because the sell-orders consist out of 10 XPM just like the buy orders. Each buy order of 10XPM is bought from 2 persons, unless it matches exactly. Its a bit hard to explain. But lets say Person A,B and C sell respectively 4, 6 an 10 XPM of pennies. Person X, Y and Z buy 6, 10 and 8 XPM.

In that case persons X order will translate in the orderbook as two orders  4 and 2. The second will, person Y, will get two orders of 4 and 6 and the last person will get 1 order of 8 XPM in the orderbook.

I hope this is clear.

Perfectly, thank you.  I forgot about the max amount.

on a side not...
Pennies are cheap as hell. Some rich guy could buy up the pennies, destroy a large amount of his purchase and still walk away with thousands of bit coin if he were to sell them.

Exactly my plan. We are still planning on doing this. Its is a go, but we are going to have to get the timing right, ie after the 8th.

Pennies do have a purpose.

They have no digits and are plentiful, thus making them the everyman's currency. They also are PoS, and we all know why that's a good thing. The fact that storing the coins is how new ones are made, rather than mining them, makes them perfect for banking. Inflation should go to the bottom, not the top as it does with QE and discount loans from central banks to the rich. We'd like to make that happen.

If you are a C# coder and would like to have some input in turning this into "The People's Penny", contact us. We also need some help figuring out some permission issues between our IIS website and the QT client. We're working on the API to do automated transactions in BTC, LTC, XPM, and CENT. Once we have that we're very close to registrations.

It would also be nice to have people available who can translate, especially into Spanish.

And last, if the dev ever decides to abandon this coin, we will take it over without hesitation.

Edit: I guess you need the link Wink

I'm willing to bet  that if we start having a purpose for pennies, pennies could be worth atleast ten times what it is now.

one trillion pennies are worth 10,000 XPM at 0.00000001
100,000 xpm at 0.00000010
1,000,000 xpm  at 0.00000100.

Netcoin is worth 0.00474597 XPM

1000000000000

Seriously?  Netcoin doesn't have nearly 100 trillion coins, or anywhere even close to that.  ShitCoin, however, does.

It's like saying:  Bitcoin is worth $1,000 per coin.

It has nothing to do with the price of tea in China so what's the point.

Something has to be done cause CENT has a lot of potential, and this interest error was allowed to run much too long - and I have a strong feeling large amounts of CENT are in the hands of a few who knew early on about the coding bug.

But I agree that cent would be a perfect mass market currency for pricing all the new and cheap and heavily diluted coins out there as hundreds of them will be coming online.  XPM et al are not designed for the job while CENT is perfect.  Even the name is just right.

Are you saying you already have or you are planning on buying tons of CENT after the 8th with the intent to destroy large chunks of it?

I have to call BS on that as nobody serious about spending dozens of Bitcoins would openly advertise that and hurt their chances of buying enough for the rock bottom price.

I threw out Net coin to compare  with pennie's value.

I know.  But it's as irrelevant as throwing out Bitcoin's $1,000 price.

Netcoin is a totally different coin with a different plan and without a runaway bug which may have greatly enriched a few insiders while diluting everyone else to the tune of ShitCoin's once untouchable 100 trillion coin pile.

Let's hope Shakezula et al have some sort of plan otherwise CENT will be trading against ShitCoin with SHT selling for much more.  Cause at least They (SHT) were upfront about their 100 Trillion CrapCoin.

I suppose I meant to say decimal places. Wink

Can anyone tell me why the client takes so long to load? What other outstanding issues are there that need to be resolved?

We're setting up a bounty for a blockchain explorer. Can anyone verify that this hasn't been done or isn't built into the command line banking already?

What are your opinions on the most necessary next steps for this coin, as far as basic tools (not things like faucets or casinos)?

From the looks of it, the money supply fell short of 40 trillion, much lower than the estimated 60-70 trillion that people kept spouting out.

The first major use for pennies would be for minecraft. We need to create a plugin for minecraft, that would let people use pennies in the game.
There's a broker plug in for bitcoins. We need to modify it somehow to use pennies instead of bitcoin.
http://www.curse.com/bukkit-plugins/minecraft/bitcoin-broker

That's what i helped develop Craftcoin for. I'm not about to undermine my own work just to make my yahtzee chips more useful.

They also are PoS, and we all know why that's a good thing.

On the contrary, PoS is a terrible thing. It encourages people to abandon network security in favour of hoarding and it's just poorly implemented all around. If I'd been developing pennies from the start i never would of used PoS, as it is, shake just didn't care enough to rip it out.

The_Catman, I am interested in hearing what you see as the advantages or good things about Pennies. You must have seen something good in Pennies that made you take over it. Or was it more of a learning exercise?

Mmm, I don't need to use pennies to learn, I'm already well experienced with cryptocurrencies and pennies is just a half-assed hack job anyway. I mostly just took it over for fun, and because i hate to see things fade away. Mostly I was just interested in Doubloons and foocoin (et al), pennies just hitched along for the ride. The only truly interesting feature of pennies is the indivisible integer based system, and I plan on using it in my future 'tokens'.

In the end, I only managed to stake half of my 50-million outputs before the stake fix kicked in (and a majority of my money was in unstakable 170-million outputs). But that's okay - I still have several billion stored up.
