Oh for fucks sake. I never said I was abondaning pennies. I wouldn't have voluntered to take it over if I was just going to abondan it.
However, I took it over for fun as was the intention of pennies and you insufferable entitled greedy twats are making it decidedly not fun. As such i find no reward in making useless changes to the coin to appease you. What do you even want from it now? IT'S FIXED. I CAN'T FIX IT ANYMORE THAN FIXED. If it breaks again I will be here to fix it again. It's what I do.
I do not, on the other hand, have any connections or sway over exchanges to make them keep trading an unprofitable coin. That's not my job, and that's all I'm saying. The only thing I will not do for you is to advertise and promote a coin i know you shouldn't invest in. But i'm not going to stop you from doing so, and that is all.

The_Catman, in this topic we should have to discuss about how to make a coin better, more balanced and interesting for use in services. That's what I expect from the developer. I twice proposed to introduce a fee for transfer, which will be destroyed. This would reduce the number of coins gently, without shocks. This would balanced the coin a little. It is necessary for the salvation of the coin. I was very surprised that no one has commented on this and did not express their views. And the developer unfortunately as well.

THey have a naive market. If people don't realize that price is ridiculous then bter can sell 50x what it is worth. With the "stake bug" I assume bter has a ton of CENTS. They're basically printing money in that market. If they opened deposits, it would be hammered and price would drop to 1. Ridiculous. I wish I hadn't kept my 300 million that I paid way too much for. Had no clue about this stake bug.

Heres a way to get the price really moving, sell and promote on Ebay. Look at what people are doing with IFC on there. I strongly believe Ebay is one of the main reasons why IFC has done so well recently.

The XPM/CENT market will still be open on Cryptsy, they are just closing the LTC/CENT pair.

The XPM/CENT market will still be open on Cryptsy, they are just closing the LTC/CENT pair. If there is good trade on CENT then they will re-open the LTC no doubt.... until then the XPM is good enough

And dont forget about Ebay. There is a certain amount of the population that dont know how to/ are to scared to/dont want to/whatever the reason- open an account at an exchange such as cryptsy or bter. But they do have an Ebay account and paypal, and could easily get a CENT wallet.

After Jan. 8, the prices will likely stabilise (most likely at a level between 0 and 1 XPM-satoshi).
Could we set up a megaCENT-BTC market (or even a hundredmillionCENT-BTC market)? As of now 1 megaCENT is 0.000036 BTC, and a hundredmillionCENT (where 1 satoshi of that unit is 1 CENT) is 0.0036 BTC, a nice amount. Plus the number 100 million is convenient to represent in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, ...

It is necessary for the salvation of the coin. I was very surprised that no one has commented on this and did not express their views. And the developer unfortunately as well. I support the idea of putting in fees and destroying those. say, put some % of the amount as fees about 1% or 0.1% would be nice i guess and would make sense..... maybe even 0.01%

I suggest the following fee scheme: fee = max(1, 0.01*(total number of coin-years)) CENT
Like this, the fee is increased over the years, discouraging hoarding, since to move the coins around after a long period would incur huge fees... Any pitfalls with this strategy?

Is it possible multiply by the number of coins you have? Obviously it don't make sense to tax those 1 billion cents at the same rate as those with 1 trillion or more.
That would also be unfair? you get charged more just because you have more?

That would also be unfair? you get charged more just because you have more? I think that's called socialism. I agree that a fair flat tax is best, and I'm nowhere close to a trillion, even if I'm lucky and some of the coins I transferred vest at the 10X rate. We shouldn't punish those who had better vision or took on more risk. A flat tax is fair enough for everyone and will help accomplish the intended goal.

What can I put in the variable fromAccount? Runned in Linux with php. What does the script do exactly? Getting extra batches? Changes the stake amount? Thanks for posting btw!
