A bit off topic, but why do the exchanges work like that, that you have to buy the whole sell amount? If someone wants to sell at certain price, seller should be happy to sell at least some of it instead of selling 0.

you probably misunderstood what we had discussed before...

of course you can buy 20 EAC from a 5 mil EAC sell order. the point was that this would likely not happen much, cause someone else would underbid this huge order cause he'd realize that if he did not underbid, his own sell order would never get filled.
so he underbids and the 5 mil stay relatively untouched.

anyone can and will buy partial orders. but once the (in this case sell) order exceeds the relative volume traded in a certain time frame, it's more likely to be underbid than filled or even to a big part filled

I'd be curious to know how many of you would sell if we suddenly reach 3x value in a few days?

What about 10x?

Alright, now it seems clear. Thanks for explaining it.

the problem is that in this game of chicken, the bigger order, the guy with more cash, is always in an advantage, so it often makes sense to play his game, if you need to sell/buy

this is a related problem:

It would be nice to reach 3x in a few days. I doubt I would sell...

At 10x, I'd be looking at a 20 BTC return. That may be hard to resist

3x or 10x in a matter of days is bound to correct and fast so of course I'll sell everything and buy more on the dip. I'm looking to accumulate as much EAC as possible because I believe it is going to be a very strong contender in the crypto economy in the future.

I mean i know it's going to be on Crypsty soon but can the price rises to 1000 satoshi, i doubt that Smiley

Anyway i have 2 millions myself and no matter what happens i'll be holding

Good call,
We really don't want an exponential increase in value over a few days as experience shows that leads sharp correction followed by a protracted period of stagnation on the exchanges

it makes sense to sell, if there is no long term direction apparent. if EAC gains some traction with shops accepting it, android wallet or the EAC/USD exchange, it would be stupid to sell...

e.g. anyone who had ever sold Bitcoin before December this year is basically an idiot

edit: December last year, lol

You doubt a crypto-coin can go up 120% in a week??
Lol, that could happen in seconds.

Weird. I use CoinedUp all the time (including today) with no issues. Not sure what the problem would be.

I haven't had any issues either.
They will auto-reject the entire order if one tries buying more than they could afford.

It all depends, if it hit 10x in a few days I would be selling the lot, expecting to profit on the almost inevitable crash aswell.

If it hit 10x after six months, the temptation would be to continue holding, but I personally don't really trade like that.

I would sell a % to grow the mining farm and increase the mining capacity of EAC Wink
