How is the tournament krill calculated now? The last (and only) info I found about it is: https://sealswithclubs.eu/krill-for-sngs-and-tournaments/ , but I noticed a while back that my krill is increasing veeery slowly, so started to follow it a bit more closely and it's clear that I am not getting anywhere as much points as I would expect based on that announcement. For example I played yesterday a tournament with 5 chips entry, for which I would expect sqrt(5)*2 = 4 krill, but I only got 1. And this has been working like that since I started paying attention to it.

The krill earned is based on the entry fee only so in the example of the 5 chip, it is 4.75(buy in) + 0.25(entry fee).

Ahh I see, thanks. Then it's going to take a while to get anywhere Smiley

Players have written in to admin asking for a deepstack sat. The big btc was a big stack 1k starting chips added to that. Will keep bumping   until hopefully the Sat 5k is a deepstack with grindabit type structure or until I get an answer as this issue has been ignored though players have written in. If its a huge disappointment with regard to ddpstack and players don't join because of (which I highly doubt) can always go back to regural structure. Seals listens to its players so am confident the appropriate change will be made.

Please try adding some 10 and 20 chip deepstacks to bolster traffic during prime hours like 6pm 12 timezones weedays and additional tourneys Sat and Sun. Thanks for the tourneys that were added on already.

1)  Donk4u, your thoughts on our MTTs are valid and I agree with most of what you said
2)  I agree Saturday 5k structure should be a GaB-type structure.  I am going to change it for next week.  It needs to be deeper, I totally agree.  too gambly as is.
3)  more 10-20 chip deeps is also a fantastic idea.  We are still adjusting our MTT schedule as you have noticed in the past few weeks.  This will continue, and we will always adjust to what our players want.

Grate news.

Thanks.  I logged off and on and half the players on both tables were gone on so maybe others had issues.  Or maybe they left because I was gone Smiley

Awesome, glad to see the change.  That's a great structure too.

I'd like to hopefully see something like this become the standard structure some day.  I don't even mind 1500 chips and 7-10 minute blinds, my complaint was with the big jumps late - especially doubling from 100/200 to 200/400.

Then you could adjust the starting stack and level length depending on the tournament.  Deep tournaments could start with more chips and have like 10 minute levels and turbos could have 4 minute blinds and start with 1000 chips.

site going to dry up with bitcoin over 300 usd? why not change the 1,000 chips per bitcoin that has been set in stone to 1000 chips for 100 dollars at equivalent  bitcoin price?  Ring games are fine with tables as low as .1 .2 but tourney schedule is going to take a major hit if not tweeked.

We can still easily drop ring games and tournament buy-ins by an order of magnitude when needed, and some adjustment is happening now. We have no plan to change the 1000 chip/BTC ratio any time soon, though some change will be needed when the rate goes well over $1000/BTC.

...

what about lowering the minimum cashout and minimum deposit with regard to the rise of the bitcoin price?

with the low stakes available now (4-20 buy-in) it would really make sense to lower min. deposit and cashout
to 0.01 BTC or something in this range (= 10 SWC chips)

thank you

When I proposed to change Saturday 20 chips 1000 guar to 30 chips 1500 guar I did want to create buyin structure that is more evenly distributed over the weekend 4 meager tournaments ;
10 ;30; 100 and Bigbtc .With bitcoin rising Seals will have to eventually lower buyin .Bigbtc will be probably 1st. If you lower it to 300 eventually ,you will end up with buy-ins 10;30;100;300 .
Then when you need lower buy-in again you should lower ALL buy-ins to prevent the buy-in structure from flattening and you end up with buy-ins 3;10;30;and Bigbtc 100 chips,The same buy-in structure
could be applied for other daily  tournaments.
Most tournaments on Seals don't fill 2 tables.I don't think that's good.I think Seals can do much better,I believe there should be carefully selected tournaments across the buy-in spectrum with
min. 3 full tables guar,I suggest start with 10 chips 300 guar, one between 13:00 and 17:00 ET and one between 19:00 and 23:00 and see what happen .It would maybe  help if you consider
try to start SNG's again, by canceling "every hour guar"  for second half of a day,but I am not so sure about that.

The minimum deposit was reduced to 0.001BTC (1 chip) a while back, but the website didn't list it correctly until recently.

We will likely reduce the min cashout soon, but we do pay fees on every cashout so it cannot be extremely small.

Is any1 else happy that BTC has relatively stabilized?

Also... at these new levels, we'll need 10max cash games ASAP!

Hey everyone

The two GaB tournaments now have a unique payout structure that pays out less players and is overall more top heavy. This has been requested by many of our grindabit members and I hope the community likes the change. Hope you guys can continue to come out and support us. Good luck!

How is bitcoin  stabilized? I used to have 22 reloads when bitcoin was 100 avg per bitcoin at time of silk road creator being arrested? That was a few weeks ago. Now I have 5 reloads and its still climbing ~over 400 on mt gox.  Pretty hard to maintain good bankroll mgmt at these spikes. Ring games that were 10 dollars are now 40 dollars for the same amount of chips. 100 seals chips used to bet 10 dollars now its 40 usd equivalent .  Since I am a betting man people will bust quicker and scams for chips will be more out of control then usual.

Site is growing nicely hopefully the regs on the site will warn the newbies of scams, importance of escrowing etc. Seals really is growing its not just people changing names although that is the case as well. More ring games are going on off peak times and spike in amount of people inlobby to over 400 avg people on seals when used to be that amount for donkdown freerollz.

Seals mgmt has lowered levels from lowest that were .5 1  to .1 .2 and added a lot of tourneys to fit everyones budget good job on that. One more thing I would like to see added is maximum for buyin tables added. All tables are allowed to be shortstacked at 1/5 of buyin. I would like to see higher max buyins tables that could be opened when players create tables such as minimum buyin of at least 1/2 of buyin for people not wanting to play vs 1/5 buyins.

Please add some 20 deep tourneys I saw a 40 deep addon don't seem to see 20 deeps that were on schedule~20 deep chip tourneys def need more like this , thks

Are there any plans to update the android app to fix some of the known bugs/common gripes?

Playability
The auto switch tables when playing on multiple tables with multi-table set to full screen is…quirky.  Sometimes it seems to just not know which table it should choose so it switches back and forth rapidly.
The button that you use to pre-select check changes to call.  Who needs a preselected "Call Any" button?
The sitout next hand cannot be unselected

Lobby
There is no AM/PM indicator for tournaments in the current week.

Hand history
does not include my hole cards
does not sort correctly in the interface
is not saveable

Chat
is not scrollable
does not have clickable links
needs copy

EDIT: I just want to clarify that i use this app for nearly 100% of my play......about 150,000 hands since it was released.  I love it.  These are only suggestions to improve.

bump

are there any plans in the works on android?

ok thanks.  how do tourneys work in situations like this?  I mean, I was in second in the freeroll tourney after a half hour of playing, so if we get back in soon then I assume tourney will pick back up?
