Hello!
I do not get any text messages with code from your website, therefore I can not get into my wallet, I use SMS Two Factor Authentication.
Please note, up to yesterday everything was fine, no delays, logged successfully always. What should I do now? I have sent request via support desk but still no response, also I would be grateful to know why is this happening? Neither in Google nor in FAQs I did not find any answers on this issue. Maybe the problem on the side of my mobile operator? But I get the sms without problems from any other services. Yesterday evening it wrote me that my wallet is locked due to max login attempts, cuz I didnt get text messages, today I try to login in again and it wrote me something that I reach maximum sms limits. What does that mean? When this sms limit is updated again? And the most important question, how do I login to my wallet?

We use Receive Payments API to generate bitcoin addresses and forward bitcoin donations from them to recipients without touching the money ourselves (see http://coingiving.com/). It worked nicely & instantly, thanks for your service!

But recently one of our users reported that he donated 0.001 btc to 17XRua8j8akFzUoqoe98SfaYy3DhkD34ds and his donation was not forwarded immediately to recipient (16fQZ5zND7jGPxBubWhBvVZiNXjTb5w1zK).

Could you please confirm that the address 17XRua8j8akFzUoqoe98SfaYy3DhkD34ds belongs to blockchain.info and 0.001 btc will be sent to 16fQZ5zND7jGPxBubWhBvVZiNXjTb5w1zK?

The cool thing about this service is that it is theoretically possible to use the data you (should have) downloaded and tucked away to re-claim your funds using Multibit (I think) if you cannot log in or get support.  This would be the case if, say, Blockchain.info were shut down by the authorities and their servers and data confiscated.

If you resort to this method of getting your money back, it would be interesting to know how it goes.

Is it possible to remove public tags from addresses?

Because the huge https://blockchain.info/address/1CbR8da9YPZqXJJKm9ze1GYf67eKAUfXwP address is currently tagged as "Sheep Market Scam", but it is much more likely to be a BTC-E Wallet, possibly Cold Storage.

Verified by several people who deposited to BTC-E and had their coins sweeped into that address, see

I think it would be good to have a feature to be able to contest public wallet descriptions, or at least remove this one, as it has also led to several news articles stating things like "BTC worth 92 Million USD stolen from Black Market", which is probably wrong, and while it is not Blockchains job to help lazy journalists, being able to clear things like this might be in everybodys interest.

Actually, it would be cool to be able to remove/edit tag entry provided you are able to sign some special message with address' private key.

It should be opt-in only. The only way to tag an address should be by signing an OTP with the address' private key. I don't remember 100% of bitcointalk or #bitcoin-otc users approving of our addresses being scraped into the db. Please purge all tags for now.

I agree, cause one of my larger addresses is actually tag incorrectly as being part of something that it isn't and I can't speak up cause I don't want my privacy to be compromised. Puik tagging addresses is horrible it is like the wild west of domain tagging.

If Piuk didn't do something like this, someone else would.

There is nothing "official" about this list of tags.  Anyone that treats it that way is foolish.  Anyone can claim that addresses are owned by anyone they want.  Some people seem to take pleasure in that, I don't understand why.

Ah the appeal to douchebaggery. I'd call out every "someone else" too.

I analogize it to ham radio sites with callsign lookups like QRZ.com; pulling data from the FCC ULS database, and putting ads on it.

OTC WoT is as close to "official" as you can get, and so is anything pulling from it, other than a typical search engine. Pretty much the same for BCT profile/sig addresses, unless non-greedy people put some other entity's donation address.

Seems a tad overkill to make personal tipping addresses rotate off a MPK on a separate website.

I think I spotted quite a serious error at blockchain.info (and two smaller unrelated issues):

First, a Just-Dice customer was asking why his withdrawal hadn't confirmed after several hours, despite having a suitable transaction fee included.  The txid is b1d48276ed55db3be5c38d4939eff11e5669ec41293e06851bc92162c1b64af3.

It turns out it has confirmed, but blockchain.info says it hasn't.

Compare these two views of the same block:

A 2nd, unrelated issue, from the same customer:

He sent https://blockchain.info/tx/a65caee9f5b07cebfa030c83a14124e93407847c43eb901959fc7b5f94d3205d using the blockchain.info wallet.  It's over 2kB, but has only 0.0001 BTC in fees.  Shouldn't it have 0.0001 BTC per kB or part thereof?  The blockchain.info transaction view (before it was confirmed) said that the fee was too small, so it knows how much the fee should be, but it doesn't pay it.  Why not?

A 3rd issue, that I often hear from customers, is that quite often when they withdraw, the unconfirmed transaction doesn't show up in their blockchain.info wallet.  It shows up in every bitcoin-qt wallet - I can "getrawtransaction" on it, and see that it has propagated all over the place, but it doesn't show up when I search for it on blockchain.info.  If I wait for the transaction to confirm, then it shows up on blockchain.info, and if the customer is really impatient, I can "getrawtransaction" on any bitcoin-qt node and paste the output into https://blockchain.info/pushtx - and then it shows up as an unconfirmed transaction.  This problem pops up every few days for me, where blockchain.info fails to notice unconfirmed transactions that are flying around the network.

The moderation rules will now be a bit stricter, any links should provide context for the purpose of that address which would be useful to other users e.g. "Wikipedia Donation Address" linking to wikipedia.org = good, "This Address Scammed Me!" linking to reddit = bad.

You can now also submit tags verified with a signed message, rather than a link, which will be approved immediately. Blockchain wallet users can do this through the wallet ui label address function.

submitting tags with a signed message is cool, and it could actually work the other way around as well:

If your address is tagged incorrectly or you simply don't want it tagged, send a removal & lock request with a signed message.

Possible bug of Android client:

When I use Custom Send and specify exact address (with enough funds) to use for input and set "Create new" for change, the transaction will not be created and sent. It shows "Sending" and then returns to the same window.

This damn error has been haunting me for years. It happens whenever it feels like it and goes away the same way.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, when I get the error and if I try with the EXACT same values 2 hours later it works.

What happened to the address labels that I was using for my own addresses in my wallet?  They've disappeared.  Are these being treated the same as public tags?

On iPod touch using blockchain.info web wallet I go to quick send and when I select the box for address to send to it automatically jumps to the top of page making it impossible to see the address I'm typing.

It's been disabled due to database load for a few weeks. There was no indication of an ETA on its re-enabling.

Does anyone know of a working firstbits provider, or an offline script?
