Thank you 24,

I missed such a great summary of everything from Jared.
He has a wide understanding of these legal issues. I think DGB is in the safe hands...

Best,

I was on a few other threads these days and have met with a couple of comments saying that "some delusional people joined the dgb thread recently" and therefore I think we should talk things that makes more sense...

Some fightin’ talk and the tools to empower our developers
We, the DigiByte community have a vision, we have many goals and one of them is 0.001 BTC per DGB and every one of us must remember this and be prepared to play their part reaching it as we begin to advance on that vision. Today this task may seem impossible, there are too many deserters and cowards amongst us, all too ready to sell out for a quick profit along the way driving a dagger into our heart and destroying our destiny from within, I want to leave these people in the dust with nothing but regret to console them and together we can and will achieve this goal. We will achieve it by maintaining a simple rule. If you must sell, you may sell any amount of DGB that you control along the way but at an ASK price and not by filling a bid order, filling a bid is retreating and is an admission of failure, a deliberate attack or a cowardice act, we will leave this for our enemies but we must place bids for them to fill. We will build momentum along the way and become many times stronger than we are today as miners and the rest of cryptodom rallies to our cause to share our vision and fortune and what we are doing captivates the media and new comers alike, we will succeed and what we sell along the way will determine how long it takes.

Agreed! I have a total of about 10 BTC buying power over the coming month so if anyone wants a bid filled, I'll gladly take it and store for a rainy day Wink I'm sure there are enough of us that have a similar hope for DGB's future, that any underselling will likely be gobbled up by the right people... Nom nom nom....

Similar hope? Yes.

Similar BTC to spend? No. Smiley

My current miner setup: Linux - Ubuntu 12.04, Two 1.3Mh/s Scrypt ASICs, Two Radeon HD 7850 GPU mining different algos (usually qubit or skein).

Update on DigiHash:

Many people who have been mining have been experiencing issues sending large transactions from their mining wallets. This is due to these wallets including a very large number of tx outputs from the mining pool. This takes the wallet a very long time to add up all the various inputs to formulate a transaction. This can become overwhelming with thousands of inputs.

The mining pool since inception has been set to pay out at 1 DGB. We have upped this limit to 500 DGB to help minimize bloat on the block chain and reduce this tx input/output problem. If anyone has any questions please feel free to PM us. Cheers.

At 140MH/s on scrypt my payouts are rarely below 500 DGB. I got a 6000 DGB payment after about 6 hours of nothing so payments must have holted somewhere. But good to know on the above post Smiley

I find that Digihash is quite unique to other pools in that payouts are very inconsistent time and amount wise, even though pool hashrate seems pretty stable (admittedly the last 24 hours have been unusually jumpy). It's hard to put a reliable stats chart together punching the payouts and times into excel so I can forecast costs and ROI. Maybe I need to increase the reporting period to a couple of weeks instead of dailys as I normally would. Have another 380MH/s worth of hash power, but need to be able to forecast a little better before I push over to Digihash so maybe this is the answer.

Well it's the group buying power that really matters when underselling becomes a problem, so every little bit helps in taking those DGB's to a place of sanctity huh Smiley

So I'm looking over Digihash stats and I could do with some help understanding them. The following is the Scrypt row:

digibyte-scrypt

Workers: 22
Shares:126208290
Invalid Shares:1498981
Total Blocks: 2100
Blocks Pending: 2
Confirmed:2036
Orphaned:0
Hashrate: 408.53 MH

To my mind it should be: Confirmed + Orphaned + Pending = Total Blocks

If I'm right (which I'm probably not) then 62 blocks are in limbo somewhere.... Could someone shed some light?

Those blocks were orphaned by the network, they are just not displaying as such. Those stats have never displayed that count correctly and we have never gotten around to fixing that particular part of it.

I've looked at the BTC ATM map and there are supposedly two around 40 miles away. I've thought about trying it just to see if I could get some BTC to buy DGB with, but that's kinda far to drive just for a $20-$40 test...
