maybe the dev can buy the coins .
The guys who made the $250k investment can easily pump price to 500 sat without it even causing a dent to them. Why you think a lot of asian miners mining this coin. That's crap... they would mine and hold not dump which isn't what we are seeing. And if they were buying they'd have services ready to go to benefit and win on price which they don't. Pure speculation and rubbish. Point is DGB doesn't have the base at present. Cheap DGB is fun yes but without a push on adoption and services its doomed to fail. 4 years is too long.... if services and adoption isn't in place within the next year it'll be a permanent downward spiral. Its the age of crypto true but what happens in the next year will define which cryptos take root and prosper. I'm concerned DGB isn't doing enough to cement itself as one of these leading contenders.

Some good points being made so far. Obviously the price reduction is depressing and we all want to see it go up, but I believe that reward reduction is not the way to go at the moment. Ultimately we have to increase user adoption and services before bitcoin starts gaining popularity, otherwise DGB will be left in the dust. Gaining traction is difficult, but once reached it takes on a life of it's own.
I can see some of the frustrations here are coming about because the Digibyte team can't talk about potential deals/projects. Obviously we don't want anything to be compromised because of a leak or open discussion before things are settled.
Personally I was hoping to get the Digispeed fork completed before the marketing campaign (easier said than done I know) as being able to claim that you can handle more transactions per second than VISA or have a larger block size than bitcoin to handle all the extra transactions is a massive selling point.
I will be interested to see what the plan is for marketing.

So like a week or two ago I downloaded the digihash easy miner of digibyte.co and was getting some weird errors then I downloaded v2 from the post that was linked a few pages back.
Can someone verify that the digibyte.co has the newest version of the easy miner?
Also, as a feature request. When I hit the "play" button, can we get an easy to read hashes per sec and GPU stats? I often have a hard time finding it through the mass amounts of text flying by. The text is great for debugging but maybe a section on the blue bar where there is a stats readout would be nice.
also....is there a way to mine on my CPU and my GPU at the same time with the easy miner?

Good points you made out there. Digispeed is going to be the best buying point, while everybody busy with bitcoin Block size. We could have just said "yeah here it is on DGB" !!! But lets see what is happening!

You know, we keep hearing that we need more services and products, and what we hear most about is the “marketing” campaign that we’re going to see once more products and services are in place. In other words, there’s nothing we can do until then.So WTF are you all doing here? If we can’t get a marketing campaign going until there is more in place to market, WTF are you doing holding DGB?YOU? That’s rhetorical, of course, because I have the answer: You’re here because you’ve INVESTED in something you believe has appreciation potential.THERE’S A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INVESTMENT AND USE!Marketing campaigns are for end users once there’s something to be used, and everybody’s right about saying that we have nothing to market to end users yet. HOWEVER, EVERYONE IS WRONG IN THINKING THAT WE ARE THE ONLY “INVESTORS” ON THE PLANET.There are thousands like us, who are willing to INVEST IF THEY KNEW ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY!Or how do you intend to explain to everyone just how special and unique you are in being a member of a very select club of DGB illuminati? That is absurd. There are thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of ordinary folk who are just as smart as us and just as willing to get involved in DGB IF THEY KNEW ABOUT DGB!THERE IS NO MARKETING CAMPAIGN and there won’t be one for a long time until there is something for end users to actually use. In the meantime there is AN INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY that needs to be disseminated. The functionality of the base product is working phenomenally well. The development continues its steady pace full steam ahead. Leave those things alone, and give your minds a break. IF IT AIN’T BROKE, DON’T FIX IT! WORK WITH WHAT YOU’VE GOT!
AND YOU’VE GOT A GREAT INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE WITH OTHERS.(Of course the short term traders are not going to want to have anything to do with something so positive for both the short and long terms, or anything for that matter that will change the P&D dynamics of cryptos - certainly you haven't missed the P&D looks of the long term DGB chart - nor will those hoping to get back in on the cheap.)

What actually is going on behind the scenes to make Digibyte more than just another trading shitcoin? I mean, I initially invested in Digibyte because I thought they were going to change the world of micro-payments? I know it's too early to expect results yet, but shouldn't Digibyte already be heading in that direction before some other coin does? Or is Digibyte going to wait till somebody comes up with an altcoin payment system and then use that system? I much rather see Digibyte develop their own payment platform and as soon as possible... I share your sentiments 100%. It's the catch 22 I referred to earlier, this time seen from a different angle: if you don't have the widely distributed user base, you'll be unable to set up a successful micro-payment system (because there will be no-one to use it), and if you don't have a successful micro-payment system, you'll be unable to create the widely distributed user base (because there is nothing to use). Hence the unbelievably important need to sell the investment potential. It's all we've got, and it's the make or break item. It gives us the widely distributed user base, key building block, from which the micro-payment system and everything else will be built, and without it, I do believe you can kiss DGB goodbye.

It's all set to release as soon as we get the green light. And, genuinely, thanks for your support, I really appreciate it. Feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions. Eric

If you all have to much supply or want to get out of DigiByte. Send them here: D6HC1TVesr32oU1fZdXpUL7iSCRRmhk4aE I'll take them off your hands, for you! Or stop complaining about DigiByte! Who cares what the price is, even if it's 1 sat or 0.1 sat.

I will double the donation and add another 50K The books should be printed with a redemption code inside them good for $5 USD in digibyte at time of claim. Build that into the price as a way to promote some adoption too.. read the book now use the currency could even have a part in the book that shows how to use and a sample way to spend it... Just an idea

When looking at price, compare digibyte to dogecoin. Dogecoin have close to 100.1 billion coins / 4.6 billion , Doge have 21.7 more supply. Price is double DGB. You do the math.

BUT!, DGB is 500 times less popular than DOGE. We have to really focus on PR/Media once we got everything working! We have to use external sources for promoting DGB, not only news, magazines, but also some other methods...
