Hi guys,

A friend have actually a really strange problem with his desktop DGB wallet : he's limited by a max amount of DGB to sent. Moreover, his fees are huge compared of mine.

Eg : Yesterday, I have transfered 336 000 DGB for a total fees of 42 DGB. My friend need to pay 96 DGB for a transfer of 38 000 DGB only. Have I missed something? Is there a rule that increase the fees to be paid the more you make transaction? This doesn't sound logic at all, and I've never read anything related to this.

We are both on the 4.0.3 wallet, 64 bits... on Windows.

You can set in your wallet! Maybe you changed it or he changed something!?

Note that getting a transaction relayed across the network does NOT guarantee that the transaction will be accepted by a miner; by default, miners fill their blocks with 50 kilobytes of high-priority transactions, and then with 700 kilobytes of the highest-fee-per-kilobyte transactions.
The minimum relay/mining fee-per-kilobyte may be changed with the minrelaytxfee option. Note that previous releases incorrectly used the mintxfee setting to determine which low-priority transactions should be considered for inclusion in blocks.
The wallet code still uses a default fee for low-priority transactions of 0.1mBTC per kilobyte. During periods of heavy transaction volume, even this fee may not be enough to get transactions confirmed quickly; the mintxfee option may be used to override the default.

These are the options in the wallet:
-paytxfee=<amt>        Gebühr pro kB, die gesendeten Transaktionen hinzugefügt wird
-mintxfee=<amt>        Niedrigere Gebühren als diese werden als gebührenfrei angesehen (bei der Transaktionserstellung) (Standard: 1.00)

-blockprioritysize=<n> Maximale Größe in Byte von Transaktionen hoher Priorität/mit niedrigen Gebühren festlegen (Standard: 50000)

Maybe he changed this setting in his wallet!

Thank you for all the replies guys. He's a miner and I already told him to decrease the withdraw request from his pool. I'm discussing with him in order to see if something is wrong with his wallet. I have well red everything that concerns fees... but what about this limitation of a max amount of DGB to send? By decreasing the amount of request related to his adress, do you think this will increase the maximum amount of DGB per transfer?

Yup it sure will, it will basically reduce the size of the transaction allowing it to be included in a block.

And no need to create a new wallet in order to reset the transaction history, right?

I dont think so, should work wihtout reset.
If you want to clear transactions you can do it, but would not recommand it. Never tried it

The transaction fee to send is based on the number of input transactions (actually it's based on the size (in kb) of the transaction, but more inputs = larger size, so it's easier to just say number of transactions).

If you have 10000 DGB and received them 5 at a time (2000 inputs), you would have a higher transaction fee to send them than someone who received 10000 DGB all at once (1 input).

The transaction fee that you can set in your wallet is added to the automatic transaction fee based on inputs. Setting it to 0 will not remove transaction fees.

If you are using the core wallet, you can enable coin control and see the inputs and transactionfee when you try to send. You can also choose which input transactions to use when you send. For the lowest fee, you would always want to choose your largest value inputs.

Looks like some moron put thermal paste on the wrong side. For the others here don't try this at home it doesn't work. The chips internals make heat... the thermal paste helps dissipate the heat from the top of the cpu into the aluminium heatsink. Air is a poor heat transfer medium so the paste helps out to get it to the heatsink which with the fan removes the heat faster. Putting it under the cpu will screw the contacts up from the motherboard... it wont work. Someone is trying to be funny.
