Main reason of not buying ethereum in my opinion is  transaction speed and vulnerability in smart contact,but it is also true that pow altcoin are more preferred and costly than pos.some say it is the technology which set the price but it is not there as there are far more better project out there than some of the major altcoin but as generally user only know main crypto currency so they don't care to take a look on them.

With cryptocurrencies at large still in a relatively nascent state, I think there's a high probability that new coins will emerge that have better value propositions than any of today's top coins, even if blockchain proves to be a revolutionary step forward in information tech. The amount of new cryptos that can enter into circulation is essentially unlimited, and I expect that future ventures on the blockchain will surpass most of the current batch of comparable projects.

No system is perfect but I still believe Ethereum is one of the best coin to hold and invest, probably due to this reason it is still as ranked after Bitcoin. Ethereum may be affected by some irregularities likes no control on supply or potential hacks of different accounts but they still remain updated and have a dedicated team which works for the success of Ethereum. Currently all coin are hit bad if you compare to last year progress but this can't degrade the value of Ethereum as it still one of the best ERC-20 wallet available to users.

Technically Bitcoin and Ethereum are almost identical. There is little difference in technicality. Ethereum also has other unique risks: for one person, Ethereum is a new technology, and although it looks very safe and solid, there is always the possibility of failure.

Ethereum is a very successful platform and it makes easy for anyone to release their coins but at the same time I do not see a lot of those coins to become successful on their own right, most of the coins that are successful have their own blockchain and do not run above the blockchain of another coin so I think the success of ethereum could come to a halt once developers understand that.

actually if you know that every coin there are deficiencies and advantages of each and how many users that affect the price back again we want to use which coins because basically all the coins are the same that distinguish is the number of users.
