Hey some 290 settings, this will give 62khash at 977core :

--scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 -I 16 -g 1 -w 64 --thread-concurrency 85000 --lookup-gap 3

This is better than going 90000 TC with lookup-gap 4. Itensity of 17 and higher slows the system by a huge amount(at least for me). There may be room for improvement but I have already achieved 280x/290 ratio of 0.81. I have 8gb of ram + 16gb of pagefile(set as a constant).

280x @ 55Kh/s & WU 50+

1. Used latest YACMiner. https://github.com/Thirtybird/YACMiner/releases
2. Use following settings: (Confirmed working on XFX, Asus & Gigabyte 280x)

Quote
yacminer.exe --scrypt-chacha -o <pool> -u <id.worker> -p <password> -R 8000 -g 1 -w 128 --buffer-size 2656 --lookup-gap 3 --temp-cutoff 85 --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1388361600

Note: This will ONLY work on a PC with 8GB "physical" RAM regardless of VM size. (I tried up to 32GB)
I've confirmed this as it failed on all my 4GB rigs I have until I upgraded it to 8GB. Then it just works.
My 55Kh/s was achieved even with my 280x only running at 1025/1500 @ 1.065v. You may get higher.  Smiley

@BumFace [regarding Stockholm]

What a wonderful update. I am beyond ecstatic at what you have been able to do in such a short period of time. Networking like that is perhaps our greatest asset.

I understand the Arbitration portion (part 1 more specifically) is already in development. DCGirl is doing an amazing job all around. She is truly an invaluable asset. On behalf of the entire UTC community, thank you again!

Regarding the in game economy, I know you and have discussed this, but I am glad to see you've taken it further and built out the idea in a more robust and intuitive way. I think this particular development could prove unfathomably worthy.

Anyways, time to get some simple web-dev put into place. Still working on that live chat, have some exchanges to update, and would like to enhance the UTC Team layout. Time to work. Smiley

thank you, i think both of these are winning strategys,and jon matonis agreed with the arbitrage as a winning strategy.That is why we need to doo these events as much as possibly....so please people keep donating.And i alsow want 1% of ultracoin service revenue to go towards this fund.we need to do these things....

once i get asic money i will buy a dedicated machine for the ultracoin minecraft server and find a datacenter to put it in.

@joawaywego

Glad to hear it worked out for you!!  I've finalized my settings and up'ed the TC a bit more.

@ cointradero;  I'm pretty sure a "share above target" is not a valid find.  It's not really a reject or stale, though, so doesn't show up.  Someone else may clarify better

It was an unfortunate choice of words that I used.  I'm not getting the "share above target" error you get when you mine with the wrong algorithm in cgminer.  I literally meant that the target difficulty, say if it were 35K, my best share would be 115K, and yet nothing would be accepted, rejected, or orphaned anywhere in either cgminer or utc wallet.

I've solved close to 1000 solo blocks across various coins.  I know what I'm doing here and what I'm looking for.  There is no sign that that "best share" exists at all for me.

If someone can figure out how to get same or better  hash rate, I'm all ears. Same for those with only 4GB rigs.
It took me a while to figure out that 1 rig I could get working had 8GB while rest had 4GB. Wasted like 5 hours.
With only 4GB RAM, the buffer won't go above 1760 for me with -R of 6144. Ending up with only about 43Kh/s.

I'd like to ask a probably stupid question, as a non-miner: for weeks we've been discussing the issue with Nitro1. Is there anything technically different about Nitro1 that makes it superior? If so, is there a reason its superiority hasn't been replicated elsewhere? And if not, and it's success is based on having a higher hash rate than any other pool, would it be feasible to just take it down entirely, and level the playing field? You could give miners plenty of warning and they could move elsewhere. As I said this is probably a dumb question, but I am really concerned that this issue has not been addressed adequately.

Stuhlman has found a bug in the wallet that is making his wallet very large (becasue he is a pool) he has to spend over 7000 dollar for a new server from his own money...
Because he is a friend and ally of UTC he never posted it and only told me in the back channels...

I think it time people know that now.

Yes, Nitro is to big, but please note that stuhlman has no mallicious intent what so ever.

I have been told there is a thing called leveldb that needs to be implemented in the wallet,as i have been told by stuhlman and biodragon.This has to be included into the next wallet update.

I am also talking with somebody about making the code more p2p mining friendly, but then he needs a newer bitcoind, and ziggy told me that would be a complete recode of UTC, and not a patchjob.

Ziggy has agreed to do the next wallet update but he is very buisy now with his education,this is also why i want to attrackt a primairy coindev for such things.

I am a bit hesitant to hire somebody i dont know , since its like letteing somebody mess with your engine....I must know they are extremely capable

Thanks, my 7970 now gets 66khs compared to the 50ish i was getting on my best attempt with ultracoin miner.

Except network diff in this new yacminer says 59k while its actually 0.8k whats up with that?
