@bumface / everyone

Why don't we create a public bounty system for things we need?

Each bounty will have its own wallet where people will send UTC to make the bounty bigger.
Some other coins use such system and it works well and also shows what's most in demand.
Bumface's UTC with his Crypto-Trade assisted promotion fund can be put into these wallets also.
e.g. All start with 1000 UTC each from Bumface. Then community can start adding in their own.

Something like below. It would potentially speed up the development as well as gain some new devs.

If you like my idea, maybe I can qualify for #11 or #14? Grin

SAMPLE PUBLIC BOUNTY LIST

- Paying up to 100% of the wallet balance via 5 recognized members (bumface can choose) vote. (Score out of 10 per person)
- This is to ensure the right amount is paid to the developer for its level of quality rated by more than 1 person.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Hey guys, just installed the patch on CGminer.  It seems to have worked but when I run it I get this error

[02:52:06] Log date is now 2014-03-23
[02:52:06] Log date is now 2014-03-23

Any ideas what I missed to get that error?  The one about not reading ^Y?

  Cheers.

I get that when I try to run CGminer with a 5450 connected to my PC

I thought 3.7.2 was latest version Huh

Good buy opportunities on mintpal at the moment, just got another 2k UTC so am getting closer to having 10k Smiley

Seen a heap of buy's at cryptsy today too without people relisting sell orders, looks like theres a growing number of people holding onto the coin until it gets even more public.

how about making each block 10 utc instead of 50 utc

End of december block reward will fall down to 25 UTC per block young blood, don't worry prices should rise up a bit by that time.
Just HOLD until then, do not despair, do not panic.

I had an idea this morning: It would be nice to be able to lock a set amount of coins in the wallet for the use of stake, and there would then also be a password and a warning text that says that the timer on these coins will now be reset when moving them out of the "vault". Sure I could have a separate wallet for staking my coins but implementing it into the wallet would be much cooler Cool

Since UTC have PoS capabillities this might market that part a little bit better.

Bounties are a great idea, and it should have been done from the start.

We could use the promo fund (what is it currently being used for anyway???)

I do believe its being used for just that, but its not being done in an organized, publicly visible way. If we were to pursue the above, it would allow everyone to see what is planned, being worked on, etc. And in turn, it would hopefully spark a competitive atmosphere amongst devs to release the greater product. I definitely think this should be implemented right away!
