I'd like to propose that a group be formed to explore options as expressed here - related to mining, n-factor and possible changes. That group would take a week or so to explore options, look at drawbacks and prepare a plan to be presented to bumface. Who is willing to be a part of that group?

Some thoughts - first, this should be done on the forum, not here. We need an action plan (1. identify issues, 2. discuss options, 3. prepare suggestions for changes, 4. propose to bumface). We need someone to organize this (I'll do it if no one else volunteers, but I am not qualified to do anything more than organize, you all will need to participate). And finally, yes we need bumface to support us. That said, if we work together and come up with a plan that is achievable, that the community supports, and he doesn't accept it, then we will all be able to decide for ourselves whether we should continue to support the coin. My guess is he will be willing to work with us, if we do this right.

Bumface (or whoever is an admin on the forum), could you create a topic/folder called Ultracoin Growth Plan (suggestions are welcome for other words for this)?

This will contain discussions about creating a board of directors, developing a marketing plan, making improvements to the coin, etc.

I think this topic is important enough (actually critical) to the success of the coin that the posts shouldn't be buried in the other sections.

Anyways, we definitely need a council or similar. I'll propose first to get something rolling.
We also need a leader. Bumface can be it. Unless he does not want to.

Ultracoin Council
1. Allows miners/investors/traders/newcomers to know who can be trusted in the Ultracoin community.
2. Allows for majority vote system amongst the council members before making any significant change.
3. and many other benefits...

5. Anyone with useful talent / skills / connections

By all means, this is not an official list. But we need to start somewhere.
Bumface needs to run it himself or designate someone to run the show.

My 2 cents:
1. I believe OP is VERY lacking still. Maybe Bumface is too busy?
(e.g. I want it with more info. Also, Nitro2 pool nor Cryptsy isn't even on the list!!)
2. We need an official dev who is dedicated to Ultracoin.
3. We need a clear list of what's being developed on the OP.
4. We need a much more clear detail of how PoS works.

For Shattner yes it would likely cost you an arm and a leg... and some celebrities might turn down doing it just because they don't want to endorse crypto.. you should come up with a list of possible people...
