json stratum auth failed for leetpool?
i didnt change anything
what Huh

Change your worker password, then change the stratum to port 3335 and all will be well Cheesy

isnt leetpools 3333.. thats what there site says and I just connected using 3333
Yes - it also works on 3335 though. Some accounts seem to have been screwed up after last nights password enforcement change - and in my case I couldn't get it to work unless I changed both port and worker pw.

I withdrew my utc from there - received a "successful authorization" email from them when I hadn't tried to log in. I'm going to wait until things are more stable before using that exchange.

Yep, not very populated. All these other trades seem to be "testtrades".

But my first order already worked for me there.

I just wanted to update some folks about leetpools:

We have started enforcing worker passwords across the pool, if you are getting the JSON AUTH error: To fix this issue please check your "My Workers" page, and make sure that your passwords and user names in your config files match them. If you are still getting an error, change your worker name to a number like 1, 2, 3, etc, and try a short password like x,y,z etc. This is the most common error that users are reporting, and this is the fix.

Please understand we are enforcing user passwords while mining and its just a typo that users are experiencing.

Please contact me if you are still experiencing the issue.

Thank you.

Glad to help out, the wallet source seems to call that function with the timestamp on the newest block so the timing may be off by a minute or so, but it should be pretty close.

Very nice to see the updates and news!!!  All kinds of good stuff, Ultra-rific!

There was mention of having an Ultracoin song.  I'm not at all vocally inclined, but I decided to play around and put together some new words for a song.
I doubt there is anyone wanting to do vocals;  but if so, have at it  Grin.

Anyhoo.  The song is from Muse and is Uprising

Muse: uprising official channel video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8KQmps-Sog

And the new lyrics;
............................................................................
"Ultrising"

Ultracoin, it's on the scene,
This coin, brings with it a brand new meme.
They'll try to, send trolls to keep us running around,
In hopes that, they can keep the prices down.
(So come on)

Ultra-coinage, Ultra-speed
This coin can, fill a hole where there's a gaping need.
And all the, other coins spiral down and die,
Meanwhile the, Ultracoin just keeps flying high.
(So come on)

They will come join us
They will start to mine with us
They cannot control us
U  T  C  victorious
(So come on)

Dynamic mining modes,
Don't miss it, now's the time to get ya' some more.
If you could, flip a switch and look ahead in time,
You'd know that, right now is the time to mine.
(So come on)

Grab your miner out of the shack,
Ultracoin, standing ready and on the attack.
And all the, other coins are coming to an end
We have to, Ultrify and watch this coin ascend.
(So come on)

They will come join us
They will start to mine with us
They cannot control us
U  T  C  victorious
(So come on)

Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey

They will come join us
They will start to mine with us
They cannot control us
U  T  C  victorious
(So come on)

can you help achieve above 500 kh/s ? my 7970 only has 350 kh/s

I'm new to the scrypt-jane thing, getting odd results from my reference 7970s.

In one rig (only 2 cards, but 8GB RAM) they do 535 kh each at the usual setting which gives me 700 kh/s in regular scrypt.
The other rigs (3 & 4 cards, only 2GB RAM each) they only do 455 kh at exactly the same settings.

Does system RAM influence hashing speed?

you will not get the same rate as scrypt. consider the current n-factor and adjust accordingly.
350 is not a bad rate.

If someone want to know if stake coins will come after 20 days. The answer is NO.

It has been 20 days since I received UTC in my wallet and I always leave it unlocked.  Sad

You do not need to leave wallet open for a year, PoS will kick in based on coinage, time of last transaction the coins have moved. Even if you move them from one wallet to another coinage will reset. When coinage reaches maturity and coins have not moved for a certain time the coins will start moving to PoS section and generating PoS blocks. I don not know where you got the 20 days from!!! After maturity date you need to leave wallet open to get PoS blocks. according to devs, they have set coinage of maturity at one year. So you can leave coins in wallet for a year without moving coins, then open wallet and the coins will start jumping into the PoS section and mining for PoS blocks.

During the past day I, among others, have been working to promote voting on https://www.mintpal.com/voting and mobilize actual votes.

We were able to help UTC break the 8000 vote barrier.

We contributed to several hundred votes and were able to erode Kittehcoin's lead over UTC to <250 votes.

This is our roadmap for the next few days:

-Sat. 22nd: overtake Kittehcoin

-Monday 24th: overtake AnimeCoin

-Thursday 27th: overtake XXLcoin

It hasn't been easy, and it takes lots of effort and time, to be frank.

If you think our goal is relevant for UTC and we should continue, please donate at: Ujff1xrc8brmHkRaFG3BcG5nVScXdh5Wu1

Even 1 utc helps!

Thanks in advance.
