There is NO EXCUSE for the site being down this long without any kind of update. This is seriously damaging the image of UTC and CT IMHO.

Why is it damaging the image of UTC?

Fuck me but I'm a pessimist today, what with all of the Monte Alban Mescal tequila (with the worm, or "con gusano") but I'm thinking the Crypto-Trader devs (two people?) done just run off with about a thousand bitcoins worth of deposits... Angry

My hemorrhoids don't like this kinda Goxxing.

I'm sorry but Karma is a b***h. To quote none other than yourself:

"Who are YOU to require a reason?  I've read through all of the posts here and you remind me of the paid penny stock bashers on the google and yahoo boards.  What is your agenda?  Why are you trying to single-handedly bring down UTC *Crypto-Trade*?

Your ardent negativity is kinda fishy..."

Lol!

Just joking, but I hope this'll help ya keep things in perspective in the future

LMAO!  Thanks for the perspective.  However, my post that you quoted kinda took to task all of the REAL "bashers"...you can see their constant harping against UTC and Bumface 20+ posts).  My post here was a tequila-fueled rail against a 12+ hour downtime, without even twitter updates, of an emerging million-dollar exchange.  When you couple this with all of the Mt. Gox stuff as well as the issues with another, smaller, exchange, concern is justified.

Thanks for the comment =)

Is mintcoin's creators the people behind Mintpal? If it is we shouldn't spend so much time trying to get on there site. They have their own coin on their own exchange so that takes priority. An exchange with their own coin is not good.

If it isnt fair enough, but just thought it might be so worth mentioning.

Also how much traffic do Mintpal have? More than crypto-trade?

Also would like to say that i think over the last week there has been such a turn around for lots of negativity to lots of positivity and changes in the community so well done to all. Lets keep up this positive motion and push on to further the brand and awareness of the coin.

Because it was the only exchange for UTC until recently and the other exchanges I wouldn't deal with ATM.

Mintpal and Cryptsy would be so nice... no reason a coin this fast and with some many positives isn't over $1... lack of multi good exchanges is hurting it but it gives everyone a chance to buy cheap

Hey Nick, the votes on Mintpal do not reset, so no worries your hard work will not go in vain.

That's very good news.

So even if UTC doesn't win tomorrow (which is very probable) it's still gonna have a very nice platform to build on.

They are not running away with your coins, looks like they ran into some problems while doing maintenance, however, communication on their part is  below standard.

I agree there is a ton more money for them to be make.. now is not the time to "run" off.. However when it comes to people's money everyone bugs at the first sign of trouble..

It is natural and when dealing with people's money the ones handling it need to be clear and communicate or it will cause panics like this..

It's very poor business to not comment or update us on a situation s that have been going on for 12+.. probably 15 hours.. it's a load of crap

looks like CT is very unreliable Exchange, any exchange that deals with other peoples money should at least have respect for their users

also have the courtesy(respect) to inform them of ETA and progress that's being made ...

i don't see any  reason why they can't update tweeter with whats going on...just looks as if they don't give a shit about the user base at CT.

I have to remember that there is nothing stopping any of these exchanges from shutting there doors and running off.. I personally don't know of any to do that but I am sure there may be some who have tried..

If they do come back up a feel there will be a crash all around as people take there fund off the exchange.

I have no problem trading with them in the future but I will need to keep less on there.. to minimize risk..

Can someone confirm mining Ultracoin in smos linux?? I've been struggling for 3 days now, and i can't figure it out :/

I can help you and yes it does
if you can provide ssh access I can do it for you but ...

all you need to do is

go to /opt/miners/cgminer
wget https://sites.google.com/site/rmdavidson/cgminer-3.7.2-sj-0.02.patch.gz

zcat cgminer-3.7.2-*.patch.gz* | patch -p0

or

gunzip cgminer-3.7.2-sj-0.02.patch.gz
patch <cgminer-3.7.2-sj-0.02.patch

CFLAGS="-O2 -Wall -march=native -I/opt/AMDAPP/include" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/lib" ./configure --enable-opencl --enable-gpu --enable-scrypt-jane --enable-scrypt
or
./configure --enable-scrypt --enable-opencl

make

sudo make install

tho you might have now broken the install in which case a fresh cgminer
might help
wget -c http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/3.7/cgminer-3.7.2.tar.bz2
tar -xvf cgminer-3.7.2.tar.bz2

They're adding the C.T.F. aka CRYPTO TRADE FAUCET, it looks like it's taking longer than expected.
