You guys just need to let the free market work, supply and demand is the only thing that will raise/lower the price of UTC. We can try to hype it up all we want, and that does work, but, in the long term the coin will only increase in value by the VALUE being offered by the coin. That is development, community, branding, etc. What makes this coin different from all the others and not a commodity? It's up to the community to support and develop this coin. I think, he put "Ultracain" into the translator instead of "Ultracoin", which would translate to English "Ultracaine"  "Пepвaя вcплecк был нa oжидaнии yмeньшeния нaгpaды и пoдopoжaния yльтpaк-O-инa." == "The first boom was pending reduce awards and increase ultrac-A-ine" This is the translator for some reason instead of the letter "O" put the letter "A". 1) Learn to take criticism in a positive way
2) Stop trying to create value out of nothing (manipulating the money supply, dictating others to sell at a certain price, pump and dump, false claims--ie fastest confirmations)--I am serious when I say that the intent there is CRIMINAL in government regulated, established markets. Think about that perception given to potential, future investors. And if decreasing block reward by 3, increased the value by 3? Why stop there? What the hell are all these other coins, including bitcoin, thinking?
3) Focus time and energy on the things that actually add value (ie arbitrage tool, multipool, professional website)
I think it is a positive sign people are still mining this thing after that huge reward drop. I expected a mass exodus. Apparently, there is strong mining support regardless of immediate profitability. Congratulations UTC.
ChaCha is the future. UTC could be the future, but there needs to be some fundamental changes in thinking.

Guys, do good statistics on multipule for miners. And then do nothing. And it is not clear mined something or not. just looking at your miner can be something to see.
Can we get some info about how many UTC purchased and @ what price? How often does the UltraCoinPool buy UTC coins? ( http://utcmultipool.com/faq) About 6 o'clock in the production turned out to be so.   |

I would like to set the record straight because I am slightly bothered by the misconception surrounding the block reward change. The block reward was not adjusted with the goal of immediately impacting price. It was not some obscure tactic. It was necessary because the original plan for distribution was flawed. Of course it is unfortunate that an adjustment was needed. However, we ARE fortunate to have a dev team that not only recognized their mistake, but acted as quickly as possible, addressed the issue, and solved it. Ultracoin is in its infancy, and pertinent changes are better made sooner than later. I agree with the decision to do this, and recognize that it must have been a difficult decision to make. But at the end of the day, this decision was made to address the UTC of tomorrow, and not the UTC of "right this minute". As far as value is concerned... A quick pump is going to have both positive and negative effects, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really effect the true value of UTC. The positive side of a pump is that it draws attention, which we do need a lot of at the moment. However, that attention will be short lived and mostly draw in the same crowd that will immediately dump UTC back to pre-pump prices after securing a quick profit. We having been seeing fairly steady rise. Please don't wish for an immediate jump to .001, its neither likely nor a strong foundation for continued growth. As an investor, when I see steady growth (which might meaning adjusting the charts past the 24 hour time frame), I see low risk potential for profit. Steady growth is the best thing we could hope for IMO. Relax, and let it happen. That said. The most important thing for the community right now is to help out. This is everyone and anyone's crypto. Everyone has the ability to help push the value to its potential. Whether it is advertising or educating others, or even working to develop some new strategies, applications, etc (like dcgirl). If you are serious about UTC, I encourage you all to think about owning more than just a certain number of UTC, but owning UTC itself and taking responsibility for its success or failure. Lets be realistic; what you all do (or fail to do) may have a direct impact on the future of UTC, its value, and your personal profit margin. We all share a common goal. Get off your asses. Lets make this happen. Rock on. |

i dont take kindly to your acusations, nothing is criminal with us,we have never dictated to people what to do.When i said please reset sell orders on 0.003 , this is a request,thats why i said please. We have cut supply because the model was flawed,we have a responsibility to provide a future for our community.nothing about cutting block reward is criminal. you can not go around telling people they are criminals,im pretty sure saying that is defemation of character,and is a criminal offense by itsself.so IF anybody is acting in a criminal way, its you....
