I've read through the recent posts but couldn't find any previous concerns already addressed.
My question is...
What is the reason for ultracoinpool.info asking that no one donate extra on the mining? What's up with that? I want to help out as best I can for this coins future, and I've already sent some extra to DCgirl. I will send some more. But what is with the real reason behind the change?

What to expect as a result:

Well I'm going to regret getting involved in this conversation, and my inbox will overflow again, but here goes. What's missing from this conversation is that the definition of price fixing, at least in the US, as I remember from my work on stock exchange software, is that it also is done in secret. Retailers band together in secret to set prices of goods, or institutions or companies band together, in secret, to plan stock manipulation.
Bitcointalk is about as secret as someone shouting HODL in the trollbox. Now, if bumface had pulled all miners into a private IRC chat and they all agreed to set sell orders at a certain level, then that would definitely be price fixing. Posting wishful thinking in a public forum falls far short of that.
This is my last comment on this, but if my original post hadn't been deleted, you would have seen I said exactly what you just did. I said he posted it in public, and why it wasn't a big deal as it was known thing. But you are wrong about it having to be done in secret, that's just kind of an obvious thing because no one breaks the law in public unless they are stupid. If someone were in a position to fix a price, and asked other people / companies to do the same in earshot of 100 other people also trading, he would still be arrested -- and win a Darwin award as well. All I did was point out 1) Beave was not incorrect. 2) Bumface shouldn't respond to comments with vindictive threats. 3) He really shouldn't respond with vindictive threats when they aren't even valid. The rest of this entire conversation has been one of technicalities and I literally don't care about the issue enough to type another word. I got pulled into the same behavior I was lambasting because nanoprobe was driving me somewhat insane as people tend to do when they are smug about their ignorance. I should know better then to try to ever correct someone like that, it's a dead end road. |

We would like to announce that the tests at utc multipool have been carried out successfully and we are out of test mode.
Apologies that tests lasted longer than we expected but it is because of the low hashrate and we needed to wait longer to find blocks.
Now we want to increase the profitability of UTC multipool and the value of UTC coin but it is all up to your hashes.
If you have ASIC's for SHA 256 , please point them at the multipool so that we will be able to mine the most profitable coin at the moment, which is BTC (but mining of BTC needs a legion of hashes )
Miners with GPU's -> do not join mining SHA because it isn't profitable for you. Mine script coins instead.
Someone asked about the frequency of payouts:
on average ot will be once in 24 hours; but at high hashrate it may be more often

I've read through the recent posts but couldn't find any previous concerns already addressed.
My question is...
What is the reason for ultracoinpool.info asking that no one donate extra on the mining? What's up with that? I want to help out as best I can for this coins future, and I've already sent some extra to DCgirl. I will send some more. But what is with the real reason behind the change?

If people want to do arbing they visit the site and keep an eye on it. The site itself should update as fast as possible and make sure the amounts available at each price range (both buy and sell side) are visible. It would suck to buy into 3000 asiacoins to find there's only one buy order for 300 at the other exchange. Right now I would need to change the amount of coins and hit update. (and that might cost me money if the orders change) Maybe calculate the sweetspot in coin amount to gain the most from the trade? For example, if I buy 3000 asiacoins, I can sell 2000 5% higher and 1000 2% higher, vs buying 2000 only and selling them 5% higher. How would that work? A coin amount suggestion box would be really nice. |
