DCGirlText of Press Release: BitcoinWoman Magazine Joins with Ultracoin to Sponsor Elsa Hammond’s Great Pacific Race 2014 May 9, 2014 – BitcoinWoman Magazine and Ultracoin have announced that they are partnering to sponsor Elsa Hammond in the Great Pacific Race 2014. On June 7, 2014, Elsa Hammond will be competing in a 2400 mile canoe race across the Pacific Ocean, from California to Hawaii. The Great Pacific Race is the first rowing race on the Pacific, with teams of 1, 2 and 4 rowers competing against each other on the world’s largest ocean. Ms. Hammond will be traveling solo in a boat carrying no sails or engines, moved only by her muscles pulling the oars, in a journey expected to take up to three months. Ms. Hammond has dedicated her race to two causes - the Plastic Oceans Foundation, a charity that works to raise awareness of plastic pollution in our oceans; and the GREAT Initiative, an inspirational and growing gender equality charity. Ultracoin, a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, will be sponsoring Elsa in her journey with donations and publicity. “Team UTC and our community are thrilled to be able to support Ms. Hammond in her attempt to complete this amazing voyage and we are amazed by her drive and perseverance. Our community will also donate a substantial amount of UTC after completion to show our support in this incredible endeavor” said the founder of Ultracoin in a statement about the sponsorship. DCGirl, lead application developer for Ultracoin and a writer for BitcoinWoman Magazine adds “We were awestruck when we read of Elsa Hammond’s race. She is taking something that most of us would find impossible and providing inspiration to women everywhere. I join with my team and the entire Ultracoin community in supporting Elsa in her quest.” An Ultracoin wallet will be placed on Elsa Hammond’s website at http://elsahammond.com. The Ultracoin team and BitcoinWoman Magazine encourage everyone to read Elsa’s story on her website and help her in this incredible journey.

We have emailed them and many other publications, but yes, everyone should as well. So far the feedback from every site has been positive, so I expect some good coverage tomorrow and for the rest of the week.

Very well stated, DCGirl. That's the mentality we need to maintain. UTC is only as strong as its weakest link. That aside, just donated another 5000 to Elsa's fund. This is some very exciting stuff everyone. We should all be very proud to be a part of this. And thank you, DCGirl, for being the catalyst!

Hey guys, Steven here, your webmaster over at Ultracointalk.org/ If you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend you head over and create an account. Ultracoin needs a place where discussions can be documented, filed and created. Bitcointalk is not the best place for that, Ultracointalk is the only dedicated Ultracoin forum on the web. As of today, I also implemented an anti-spam module on the forum, it has blocked 400 attempts by spam bots and seems to be working well so far.

NEW WALLET giving me a headache. I can not send more than few hundred UTC in one transaction. WHY??? I want to send 27K UTC to someone, minting is turned off, In coin control a total of 28K coins are selected and the fee to send is 1.13 UTC based on 113kb transaction size (.01/kb). After I enter my wallet passphrase all I get is "ERROR CREATING TRANSACTION"....I checked, it not a problem with passphrase. I tried sending 10k UTC but still same error. Send a hundred and no problem....

I'm on windows I just sent 10,000 and only had a .00001 transaction fee. I was also using coin control with just one block transaction clicked on to take coin out of. Edit: I just cleaned up all my small block transactions received from mining to try and keep my amount of blocks to a minimum as per the guidelines that Bumface's Hobonickels link suggests to do http://wiki.hobonickels.info/index.php?title=Coin_ControlI had no problem sending multiple block transactions to cryptsy to consolidate my coin control blocks. Still only a .00001 transaction fee to send. Keep us updated! Wish I could help out more.

Unfortunately not. I think devs are working on one, but it's gonna take a while. Edit: There was one: http://utcmultipool.com/ but it' down at the moment, you can check it once a day if it's up.
