I sold dash 3 weeks ago. I do not see a tangible profit in the near future

The Dash community is in denial about three key issues preventing Dash from being competitive with other crypto.

1. Lightning is here and working, but DashHoles are still pretending it's vaporware because Dash lacks segwit and thus can't make payment channels.

2. Evolution is years behind schedule and we have yet to see a single tangible deliverable resulting from the lavishly funded DashCoreClub's supposed development efforts.

3. Dash is entirely centralized regardless of Masternode voting because Evan and DashCoreClub still have the final say on implementing code (as well as sudden rebranding and arbitrary emission cuts).

For now ignoring the fact that Lightning Network is a banking layer to be plonked on top of bitcoin.

I warned you Dash would become obsolete digital trash if it didn't stop prioritizing marketing over development.  And now that sorry fate has come to pass.

Thankfully I ignored your warning, my Dash portfolio has outperformed my bitcoin portfolio by a huge amount. Don't worry I am invested in bitcoin too just in case going down the offchain centralised banking pathway turns out to be most profitable.

Vulnerability Found, and Patched, in Electrum Wallet

A vulnerability has been found and fixed in the Electrum wallet, both for the Bitcoin and Dash versions.

Electrum, a popular light wallet for Bitcoin, was recently found to have a critical vulnerability dating back two years. The vulnerability allowed for an attacker to use JavaScript to steal Bitcoin from the wallet, as long as the wallet was unencrypted without a password. The vulnerability was first disclosed late last year, but did not get patched until the last few days.

US Credit Card Debt Passes $1 Trillion, Over 33% Higher Than Cryptocurrency Market Cap

US-based credit card debt has passed the $1 trillion mark, eclipsing the combined value of crypto assets.

According to the US Federal Reserve, in November of last year combined US credit card debt reached a new high of $1.023 trillion. This is up from a previous high of $1.021 trillion reached in in April of 2008, which was immediately before the market bubbles burst that year, kicking off the Great Recession. Meanwhile, the combined cryptocurrency market capitalization ranks in at $750 billion, under three quarters of that number. This means that if every cryptocurrency in existence was forcibly redistributed to every American according to their credit card debt, that would still not be enough to pay off all that debt.

I personally dont care about the infighting, I am smart and bought both coins, so whichever wins, I win.

Both coins share a distinct ideology and roadmap, so yes it's faulty to compare them, although Monero is specifically a pivacy coin, while Dash is now marketing itself as something else.

I liked the charify projects that you guys setup for the flood victims in the US, so that is definitely a good karma.

Not something else. Dash wants to be a digital currency. A cash system. Monero wants to be a privacy coin. That's a big difference. Dash is not aiming to be a privacy coin. It just offers such a feature as an additon that you can use or not.
There is no monero dash fight. That impression comes from the number of people comparing the privacy aspect of both coins creating wrong impression that the two coins play on a same level somehow which they do not. And there are the constant monero trolls resitant we have which like to post monero in dash for eighter their personal relief or for monero advertising. Dash do not care a bit about monero. It is one sided. You should be clear about what you invest in.

About Bitcoin, lightening and such. Bitcoin (sadly) has decided to become a store of value and as such is also no more on the level of dash which want's to be a currency. A currency is something that will be used to buy things. The value comes from that it is beeing used. This requires certain features like fast or instant payment and low fees and easy to use. Both which Bitcoin lost and the last point it is losing too with the planed features. I see no improvement any soon for bitcoin. Current Bitcoin core devs are destroying bitcoin with everything new they are comming up with and it is really sad to see. This is my opinion of course.
