Dash has embarked on a promotional initiative targeting the global liberty movement, sponsoring five key conferences this year.

Many of cryptocurrency’s earliest adopters included those associated with the libertarian and crypto-anarchist movements, from Roger Ver to Erik Voorhees and countless others. I have a question about the Dash tech. I want to automate accounting of our fund, but obviously our Dash address keeps changing. We don't really care much about the anonimity feature, and in this case the changing address is actually a nuisance. How will Dash Evolution deal with this? Shouldn't there simply be an option to turn off the address changes?

Why not just use the same address?   You don't need to change addresses every transaction.

Wikileaks Calls for “Global Blockade” of Coinbase after Coinbase Bans the Wikileaks’ Shop

Wikileaks called for a “global blockade” of Coinbase this past Friday after Coinbase issued a letter intending to shut down Wikileaks’ shop on the Coinbase merchant network.

Wikileaks said that “Coinbase has blocked the official @Wikileaks shop”, which sells various branded items like clothing, stickers, posters, etc “from its platform without notice or explanation.” Wikileaks published a letter they received stating that “Coinbase is a regulated Money Service Business under Fincen”, which is the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. Coinbase said that they are “obligated to implement regulatory compliance mechanisms,” and that “upon careful review, we believe your account has engaged in prohibited use in violation of our Terms of Service and we regret to inform you that we can no longer provide you with access to our service.” Coinbase also gave instructions for how to withdraw any remaining funds in the Wikileaks’ shop account.

It could trigger an impressive bull run.

We are still below where I would expect Dash to be today.   Dash seems to be in the 'keep your head down and deliver' phase where others are in the hype and promises phase.   With BTC back 1/2 way to its ATH,  Dash is still far below 50% of the ATH.    We should really be near ETH's price.

This has always been the case though with Dash.   Underdog.  Which is fine with me,  my MN's continue to stack returns waiting for the nest run,  too bad I wasn't able to collect more in the 300's.   Damn you taxman!

Gaining Traction in Developing World: Nigerian Exchange CoinOYO Adds Dash

Nigerian cryptocurrency exchange CoinOYO recently announced the addition of Dash to its offerings. Concerning Dash, CoinOYO also gave a nice endorsement:

Dash (known earlier as Darkcoin and XCoin) is one of the biggest alternative cryptocurrencies with a focus on transaction speed and privacy. Due to the privacy of the transactions, Dash coin managed to occupy one of the leading positions behind the Bitcoin when it became clear that bitcoin could not offer the appropriate level of confidentiality to users. Feedbands Enables Greater Exposure for Unsigned Artists by Using Dash

Feedbands is an online music streaming and subscription service that is enabling unsigned artists to distribute and sell their songs and merchandise for Dash, in addition to fiat.

The internet age has brought a mixed bag for independent artists and bands since they are now able to get wider exposure, but also get smaller revenue splits because of digital and streaming services. However, Feedbands is attempting to change that scenario with cryptocurrency and two major revenue structures. First, Feedbands allows artists to upload their music and merchandise onto their website, which can then be bought by listeners with Dash. Since the use of Dash eliminates the need for payment processors, artists and bands can keep up to 99.99% of the revenue. Second, Feedbands offers a subscription service, in fiat, where users pay a monthly fee to vote on their favorite artists/bands. Then at the end of each month, Feedbands sends subscribers, depending on their subscription level, either a vinyl, a t-shirt, or a digital album of the artist/band that got the most amount of votes that month.

The voting enables subscribers to be apart of the curation service that results in the product that they eventually receive, while still discovering new artists/bands. Voting is also continuous and not a strict competition. On their website, Feedbands specifies that they do not pit bands against each other because “sometimes, we go back and offer to press artists who submitted their music a year ago, just because it finally got enough votes to get pressed.” In addition, Feedbands gets the debut album release, but the copyright control remains with the artists/bands.
