I think I might be over thinking this and suggesting that people posting on here "should" be of use and appropriately engaged.....dreaming on.....

You may be. It isn't an academic forum and you sound like you might be an academic, all the same you are certainly justified in trying to raise the bar in terms of quality of exchanges that go on.

I have sympathy for both of you in fact. I've made posts that are as banal and un-informative as the one that forms the subject of your current frustrations, but I've also made posts that I poured over for ages to make sure they were as well articulated and as interesting as possible.

I had a bit of a chuckle at the "instamined" response because it was a bit robotic and predictable in nature so I kind of saw it as a parody of that whole line of thinking.

Takes all types.

I'm no academic Tok. But I do appreciate well structured text that has a beginning, a middle, an end and also articulates a point or two. Just about all of your posts do and I really appreciate the time you put into elaborating on some concept around the TA or other factors playing out in the market.

I'm not a bot. I'll be honest.

I made around $20k when the big DRK pump happened. Exited then. Never touched it ever again.
Not willing to waste my time debating delusional bagholders who're afraid for their investments.
Been there. It's boring.

Regarding my vocabulary, lol. I am fluent in 6 languages. How about you, Johnny English?

Hope this post works like a chill pill for you.

I'll give you a definition of boring:

It's to come on here and bring up (yet again for the 100 millionth time) the "Instamine issue" which has been so put to bed, so many times, and is so NOT an issue.  Now that's boring.

Why don't you take your one word post and (and your six languages) and go somewhere where you CAN add value because your views and beliefs about Darkcoin clearly prohibit you from doing so here.

BTC asks & bids on all exchanges on Bitcoinwisdom starting to go frantic again. The poor javascript can hardly keep up!

Looks like another big drop from the mid 180s level incoming.

I find Darkcoin to be one of the most exciting coins out there, if not THE most exciting coin since others that peak my interest aren't actually functioning yet.  Anyway, I don't understand why people like you come here to complain, especially if you made money trading this coin?  You're just a wet rag who doesn't care about the project, fine, why are you here?  Whatever, you're on ignore, and I won't be acknowledge you again.

It is hard to stay focused amidst this sort of price movements, but lets remember that we have a lot of important things coming up soon:

  • Evan and team are working hard in preparing Darkcoin Core (That's the name we agreed to for v11 right?) for release it seems like we are close to ready, still some bug cleansing going on though.
  • We have the Darkcoin first anniversary coming up soon and the special Bitcoin Rush - Darkcoin episode coming out. Should be interesting to watch.
  • Once Darkcoin Core is out and stable it will be back to InstantX testing on testnet.
  • The promotion efforts continue and we will have some new announcements soon, after the anniversary

In times like this the commitment from Evan the team and the community will set Darkcoin apart. For DRK is really business as usual, development and adoption continue forward.  If anything I think this is a great opportunity for DRK, as I believe people will now see the need for a stronger and more dynamic crypto eco-system that does not depend on a single asset.

This crash is definitely going to wipe a lot of alts, I think the times to launch silly alts and get investment money are over. Honest and innovative projects like DRK, may look more appealing once the dust settles.  BTC has to hit a bottom at some point and it will not be 0, crypto will have to move forward after this crash one way or the other.  Which are the coins and development teams that will remain standing and united after this?  I am sure DRK will be one of those. DRK will endure.

So very true!  Nothing can stop stupid is as stupid does.  I've just stopped answering stupid people.   20k profit... That's supposed to impress anyone?  It just speaks to the mentality of people today.   They can spew ignorance and not be called on it.

DRK. Business as usual

With vs. 11, we are no longer a fork of litecoin but a fork of Bitcoin directly.  We're now using the newest wallet version of Bitcoin Core, now Darkcoin Core.

Fantastic point !

And on that note, time for some music while we're waiting for the capsised mothership to right itself and for our hard working leaders to roll out some wicked new tech for Darkcoin.

This band is from Iceland - a country that's partial to the odd financial crash of its own. Despite that they still produce pretty good musicians, so keep the faith !

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVb4C3ECWLw

(Best viewed @ 1080 RES on your HD 32'' Thunderbolt/Dell/Samsung/whatever and a pair of Harman Kandon soundsticks or equivalent).

P.S. While you're listening to that, have a read of Simon Dixon's great commentary on the current situation which will also cheer you up.

LoL ! Good one. I think I spotted Vitalik Buterin in there at 0:58.

It's DJ hour - this will have to become a regular event on the Darkcoin forum I think.

How many times after a crash do people wish they had bought, it does not feel right going against the herd but time and time again it pays off.... I really think now is the time to be buying DRK and BTC.
