The most amazing is that ETH and TheDAO are up since 2 days. Something I don't understand... (or with big infinite pockets? ...) I sold some DASH so i could margin sell ETH, in the end DASH went up and ETH went up leading to my order liquidation. Worst decision ever... and i told myself never trade on margin ever again, but fought this time its just too good of an opportunity to increase my DASH holding...  Damn! |

I wanted to do exactly the same, but I was late and ETH already went down too much, so I didn't make it. Sorry for your lose. My strategy right now is accumulating BTC (EDIT: I will wait a little because, BTC is going down hard just now), before halving, In case BTC go up a lot, DASH/BTC will go down, and I will buy a this time. Who know if it'll work? |

I think it's been a wild week for anyone trading. I lost a couple of hundred Ether at the bottom of the beartrap. It was basically a manual stop loss cos I thought it was heading for capitulation. Then the massive bounce came. Doesn't matter. I just put it into Dash which is now on the upstroke. What about BTC though. Just saw it now. w.t.f. !!!  |

Thats the only explanation for MN to increase without follow up in the market. I think it just follows emission since the graph is almost linear. There were roughly 430 000 Dash mined this year and about 450 MNs added. |

I'm curious. Why would a masternode owner, especially a multiple owner like me want the # of masternodes to rise? Makes no fucking sense to me.... someone enlighten me as to why I would be happy to be making less each and every week? Used to be 14% return......now under 11%.
Sorry but I'm not going to cheer a new ATH.

More masternodes mean that an ever-increasing percentage of Dash is held to secure masternodes. This means that it is likely in "strong hands" who aren't going to be willing to sell (even in an uptrend--overlay the masternode graph with the recent rise from .0125 to .0195 and you'll see very few people cashed out). Consequently, the supply of Dash on the markets decreases, so in the face of stable demand, the price of Dash increases. tl;dr Every new masternode is 1000 fewer Dash on the market. Less supply = higher prices. P.S. It's mostly ASICs that have decreased the ROI on masternodes. We are permanently at minimum block reward, which was not the case before. |
