Guys, if you have syncing problems:

1) If you're on wrong fork - run with reindex
2) If you're on the right fork but stuck - stop and restart.

When updating my masternodes last night, all got the right fork - new deamon prevents getting wrong one, however the deamon may get connected to the forked nodes and will not sync past the last correct block. This was the case with 2 of mine.
Restarting without reindex solves the issue.

Can someone clarify this please? Quote from above: 1x Masternode = 576 blocks * 10% of the reward = 1036DRK/day

I thought 24 hours x 60 minutes / 2.5 minute blocks = 576 blocks per day

Block reward = 5 darkcoins per block.  Therefore, 576 x 5 = 2,880 darkcoins per day

10% = 288 darkcoins per day

288 / 371 MNs = 0.776 darkcoins per masternode per day
That math sounds right to me.
Ok, if the maths is right then, ANNUAL return per MN based on number of MNs:

371 = 28.3%
500 = 21%
750 = 14%
1000 = 10.5%
1500 = 7%
2000 = 5%

This is based on the price at the time you buy the MNs and assumes the price does not change.

Therefore, in time the system will probably level out at 2,000 MNs for a 5% return.  However, this implies 2 Million darks, which is almost 50% of current coin supply.

This also implies the price of Darks are likely to skyrocket, if people kept trying to setup MNs.
For example, if people tried to setup 1,000 MNs, this would tie up almost 25% of total coins, to generate a 10.5% return on investment over a year + upside on darkcoin price.

No doubt about it, darkcoins are the best investment of 2014.

My masternode receive just this error, no payment:

2014-05-25 23:09:32 !coins.IsAvailable COutPoint(cfa73aeff245e44e86b9d18a703c471cfa8a7621e8a86eb48e97928edb077837, 1)
2014-05-25 23:09:32 ERROR: CTxMemPool::acceptableInputs() : inputs already spent

up to date 10.8.8, sync OK, masternode visible from http://darkcoin.io/masternodes.txt and http://drk.poolhash.org/darksend.html and by a separate client

I don't know what to do Cry

Hi,

Nobody has the same issue  Huh

I didn't see you respond to me, did you unlock your wallet first?  darkcoind walletpassphrase "password" 60 (60 being the number of seconds to keep unlocked)

Sorry I miss your answer

This is my darkcoin.conf, no remote wallet:

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=200

externalip= My Elastic EC2 external IP

masternode=1
addnode=23.23.186.131

masternodeprivkey= My key generate by darkcoind masternode genkey

So I have to start like that?

#darkcoind
#darkcoind walletpassphrase 'My wallet password' 60
#darkcoind masternode start 'My wallet password'

Previously I started with just:
#darkcoind
#darkcoind masternode start 'My wallet password'

Where is the DEV ? price is going down ! We need updates !
Please stop being a panic merchant.  Grin

dev is sleeping..selll  Grin

Horrible how people act. No idea what software development means.
Sell your DRK and go back to LTC. The support seems to be much better over there.
Seeing people invest 150K$ and expecting full reward after 1 Day is really cool.
Better they sell their DRK / Masternodes and let price go back to 0.01 and we can have a healthy growth again from
that point.

It seems that people also do not know what trading means. Put on the daily chart for LTC/BTC. See the downtrend started from Mar 19th? If you want to 'pick a bottom', and want to gamble at some 'psychological' 0.02 level, fine, but don't count me in. LTC is not a good buy until it reverses and trades well above 0.0235ish level.

DRK on the other hand should not be a sell to some 0.01 level unless prices breaks and trades consistently below 0.02

They'll eventually do...

One obvious sign is amount of connections, if it's low (~15 when I was doing it last night), it's the wrong nodes and you have to restart.
Once everyone updated and reindexed their MN, this will go away.

There are too many
0.9.4.6 clients when I type getpeerinfo.

How can I connect only to 0.9.4.8 clients?

Same here, they just outcrowd the 0.9.4.8, and the connections count goes up & down regularly like crazy.

Seeing also a bunch of 10.8.8 & 10.8.6 clients, what are those?

My 1st 0.7 drk too  Tongue
That's $10 per day x 365 = $3,650.

Even if you bought in at $14, which I doubt it. That's a return of $3,650 / $14,000 = 26% not including darkcoin's future price appreciation.

How about a working Mac wallet?
Can't sync anymore with 0.9.4.6. Stuck at 74603.

What about p2pool?
I'm mining on a working node, but is it the right chain?

Be patient, it's still too soon to tell. Have you checked your MN's address in the blockchain? You may not have the payment in your wallet yet because they need a lot of confirmations, but it may be there.

http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/ is now back and synchronized on the proper chain.

Sorry for the interruption!

Expect some sluggishness for the next few minutes as backups and checks are run.

That said, I'm still seeing lots of 0.9.4.6 clients in the connections (a majority, really).
Some in-client update notification mechanism would be nice (something like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=464841)

Wow, thats a crazy good ROI, which is also leveraged by DRK/ BTC price appreciation. Huge potential. Yikes.

1) Are there a limit to the number of masternodes?

2) what is the status of the fork at this instant (4:30 AM EST)? Give me the low-tech overview. Has it not gone as smoothly as planned? Was it even supposed to go as/more smoothly than it has? How much is remains to be done; actual and potential problems etc? What does tomorrow/ later this afternoon look like?

Thanks.
