LOL, don't know how I missed that one. Really is top notch, don't think I have ever seen any post like that in any other threads.

Oh, tell me where the code is. I'll recompile it now. I can't sleep like this.
I am no coder. Sorry, dont know the exact line.
But I am pretty sure it must be anywhere in "net.cpp" or "net.h".

Search in these files for "ban" or "banned".

Seems like these nodes are the reason that the network keeps forking. Furthermore, even after everybody updates, this presents an obvious attack vector if Evan doesn't add some sort of auto-ban for outdated clients in the future.
Doesnt have to be added, already part of the code. Just have to be configed/turned on.

By each client manually?  Why would something so important be off, anyway?
It was/ist off, because before the fork there was no reason to ban any versions.
(And before the fork it was unknown which version (may) make problems.)

To manually turn it on, you would have to recompile from source.

But the normal procedure is that the devs/Evan would release a new version for everbody which nothing change, but having the "ban switch" with the correct version numbers turned on. (And engourage everybody to update once again.)

There was https://github.com/darkcoinproject/darkcoin/commit/3022c77309e8b87f28af07981ac94db57bf3e1a4
             printf("dsee - Rejected masternode entry\n");
              // if caught up on blocks, then do this:
 -            pfrom->Misbehaving(20);
 +            //pfrom->Misbehaving(20);

It says
1279979636624fc3da9427b2268dd3bf  darkcoind

Well but it shouldn't be same as I compiled from the source code.

getinfo

shows below result.

    "version" : 90408,
    "protocolversion" : 70015,
    "walletversion" : 60000,

Maybe you can dl the RC2 binary, let that one reindex and download the chain and switch back to 0.9.4.8 after that?

Oh, it synced!

I tried this many times and finally it is synced.

Thank you for suggestions and help. I think dev must insert many checkpoints these block numbers.
I found that when block chain is stuck at some point, it doesn't fix by itself.

I had to redownload or reindex all. Bitcoin didn't need to handle this situation I think because this kind of problem not happened before. I think old masternodes needs to be pushed away strictly.

synchronous
yes
This is a good news Thank you to tell you

Can you already come up with a working Mac wallet?
What is so hard about applying the trivial changes and compile it, takes less than 5 minutes.

Or put a qt project file out on git which compiles out of the hat?

PM instacash
Im sure he'll be around soon
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4585071#msg4585071

Yeah thanks, but do you think this is the right workflow?
You're pissing off of a lot of people here, I' sure I'm not the only one.
As much as I'm a DRK fanboy, this fork was quite a fuckup.

About time to introduce some notification method which could even prevent a wallet from launching.

Darkcoin the first anonymus coin?

No way.. That is Anoncoin.

As some one said before, that was so anonymous no one knew it was around.

Aren't they waiting for the new zerocash source code to go open source so they can migrate to it, on account that anoncoin was never able to do what it said on the tin? No trolling them - just wondering why they are hopping around anonymity code and waiting for others to implement.

Place your short-term bets, takes your choices.....either way, long-term value projects are well, long-term.

edit

I fear that those who keep up will take advantage of those that don't and just act like sheep on the exchanges. That's good profits for them, but we potentially lose new community members. Some come back later when the price has gone up quite a bit, as I've seen a few times in the last few hundred pages.
