I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is a strong buying force behind this coin that makes it want to succeed. Sure, it has its dips just like any coin but after the dips it continues to get bought up, even when huge walls are present.
That's why I will continue to invest in this coin.
Yep, I don't know if it's satoshi wanting to put anonymity on the map and using DRK as a "sign", MtGox hackers with millions that they don't know what to do, or some brilliant investors, but I wouldn't short this coin (given the short-option) even at its ATH. The buying whale is certainly very bullish with DRK. He could margin squeeze the shorters for fun and make the price explode by buys triggered to cover the squeeze. It's that number one wallet, he chose Darkcoin for all the qualities and he saw everything we see in it. He bought a ton and started this phenomenal rise, for every BTC he puts in, the market puts in 5 more. Anyone else underwhelmed with the speed of this rally so far after the initial boost? Are we actually gonna have to wait till the extra volume drives the price up naturally?
C'mon whales, the moon won't just go to itself.
Half the rise was already priced in. The signs were too strong that it would happen. The alternative outcome could have been a story about somebody at Bitfinex who wished to make a quick profit on DRK trading by selling a rumor. I think it was 50-50 and those who bought the rumor are already selling the news (hence the slow rise) and it's 50-50 again who runs out of the coins first (sellers from DRK or buyers from BTC). |

Keep calm and carry on, people You'll notice when FPGA's and ASICs get into X11 ... they'll begin with GH/s (FPGA) and TH/s (ASIC) ... Although a few odd GH/s spikes have been spotted here and there, I believe they were Multipool tests, not dedicated hardware ... Anyway, what's the problem? Let them come, I can spare a few DRK to buy a nice rig to mine DRK Isn't that what has being happening with that other coin? LOL |

You'll maybe see a bit of a rally get going within the hour.
The reason for the lukewarm market reception was that the 5 minute wave coincided perfectly with the 15 minute MACD turning south. It was just the wrong moment as far as market momentum cycles were concerned and clashed with a wave of chart-invoked profit taking. Despite that, price did go up to 0.25 on quite huge volume (over 10,000 DRK) and came back down on very little, so there's not much weight in the dip.
The downward momentum in this cycle looks like lasting not much more than another hour if that.
Then things might start to get interesting.
