When I download the Windows binary miner, both Chrome browser and Kaspersky Anti-Virus say there is a virus, and stop it.

False positive.  download bitcoin wallet and test with that.

Also take into account that a lot of DRK has been being dumped by multipools in the last few days with Darkcoin being the more profitable X11 coin.   That doesn't last forever.

Multipools push the price down, when the coin isn't being gang mined by multi poolers, the price comes back up.
If other coin can dump drk using their multipool why shouldn't we do the same?Huh
Use our DRK MULTIPOOL @ XPOOL.CA
I'm waiting for the next shift on DRK to compare with my other X11 rigs/p2pools (working at same difficulty).

Then, repeat by moving some scrypt gridseeds and compare with the traditional method using the exchange.

This first X11 test will be fundamental to evaluate how xpool.ca works.

I was trying to find the xpool.ca fees but no luck. The web site doesn't have too much information. (if someone knows the fees schedule, I will appreciate the info).

EDIT (6/28/2014)
New clients have been released and more changes have been made. Current versions are v9.11.5 and v10.11.5. It is important that all solo-miners and pool operators update to the correct clients! Miners make the network work, and as such you need to use the right client versions, stay up to date and keep our blockchain healthy and stable!

You can find the new client software on the official downloads page of www.Darkcoin.io.

Actually some multi pool users do.  For instance, instead of mining multipool and converting all payouts to BTC, I was converting all my payouts to DRK coin.

If more people did that it would help out as the pools wouldn't be dumping DRK in exchange for BTC, but vise versa, it would dump other coins and buy DRK for conversion.

Nice pool btw, i might give it a try..

I think the relatively weak RC4 statement by Evan had a negative effect on price. Vague statements contribute to uncertainty, lowering confidence. We definitely have work to do on the PR front.

I know that this was mentioned previously, but a status update, even if it's once every couple of days would be great for confidence. The market needs its hand held.

2a) Too many non-complying pools and bad actors is likely throwing a monkey wrench in planning. People are worried about what will happen without a supermajority consensus. How do we get pools to comply? How do we pull off the actual fork (since that's what enforcement is, essentially) without a very strong consensus? Will checkpointing (and the centralization that it implies) be necessary to pull this off? These questions aren't insoluble, they're just on everybody's mind.

So you guys know, there is a solution to the non-compliance issue, but as I think I said in a prior post, it's not something Evan wants to implement.

From an email:

Quote from: Evan
I could also write code to blacklist blocks from bad pools using the
checkpointing code as a solution. So cheating pools would risk being
shut down, but that gives me too much power I think.

From another email regarding what went into RC3:

Quote from: Evan
RC3 includes the spork logic, massive masternode revamping/bug fixes
and non-enforced payments.

So no official support for stacked payments at this time.

Regarding RC4's anonymity enhancements - I've seen it, it is an elegant addition to the anon layers that already exist in Darksend, and it will be worth the wait.

There is an economy-side feature in the pipeline that (to my knowledge) nobody in cryptocurrency has even considered to this point, but again, the time is not yet right to release details on these things.

There is simply nothing to pump right now.  Over the next few weeks you'll start to get glimpses, but anything beyond that is premature at this point.

I hope that I2P/ IP obfuscation are still on the table. If the IP of the sender is discernible, any blockchain related anonymity is rendered meaningless.

Darkcoin uses Darksend, based on CoinJoin, to break up transactions into a pool then the receiver can get those transactions in sections. It will appear as one lump to and from for the users. In reality, it uses master nodes to do this. However, if a master node is hacked or used to monitor Darksend, it can get the IP addresses for each transaction. This means, FBI can monitor Darkcoin transactions if they want or a hacker, etc. The master node has a slave node as a backup but it can be compromised as well. The only true anonymous transaction is in cash.

Maybe i´m wrong. But... why should i make the few Masternode Inholder even richer? There are a lot of new Coins i can make profit quickndirty regarding to rising Bitcoin.

The regular intervals are unnatural as well. Seems like someone trying to crash the price. Luckily they will eventually run out of coins.

Tantalising! Smiley

But I think Evan should indulge in God Mode just a little bit on the update dodgers.
