I'm still having issues with my wallet, and the 20 DRK stuck as "Unconfirmed"

The balance prior to RC4 was 42.72489229

That top transaction is also out of order. Prior to updating to .31 it was 3rd.

This seems like an older bug that Evan addressed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg8353277#msg8353277

Have you done this procedure on your wallet?

Quote
If you have a long standing unconfirmed transaction, simply right click the transaction, copy the txid. Then execute the command "erasetransaction txid" in the console. After that reopen the client with the command -salvagewallet, and the money should be back.

If not, I think that will fix you right up.

So, send my DRKs to mintpal, and then send them back < 900 at a time on a new address for every send, to make it work?

Leave it alone, I think eventually it will get 8 rounds.
Or lower amounts in options(more fee, more fast).

Awesome Birthday I've had.  Just as I'm about to go out the door and make bad choices for fun, I just had to hit F5 and see .31 released...

Fuck me... :-p
Wait I thought you said you were running .31 already?
I am.

Back when I said I was heading out to make bad decisions in the company of sordid women, I hit F5 and saw .31... I've been here being very unhappy ever since, instead of what should have been happening...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg8376769#msg8376769

I count confirmations.

13, 9, 6, 5

Looks like 15000 amount is somehow not keeped, instead small amount is darksended. So still Darksend rounds is 1.

6 confirmations : 900 ?
5 confirmations : 999  ?
Yeah, weird, right? I set it to 8 rounds. What's the 900 and 999 about? I haven't performed any manual sends, this is all darksend's doing. I received the 10538DRK, set darksend to 8, enabled it, and the rest is, uh, yeah...

See the fees? See how much is anonymized?

It does only 1 round... It's set to 8... It charges me buttloads of fees to do precisely nothing, or at least that's how it looks...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg8369018#msg8369018
Quote
1.) The round > 1 error was caused by a lack of fees, because of this the network refused to accept the transactions. I've made the default darksend fee 0.0125, or currently $0.043 per 1000DRK. This means to anonymize $3450 it will current cost 0.0013%. Even with the higher fee our solution is decentralized and cheaper than any comparable mixer on the market. Also, it's good to remember this fee goes to the miners, so it will actually benefit the network and make mining more valuable.

8 rounds 10K : 0.0125 * 8 * 10 + (0.001 * at least 8 ?) isn't ?

Yeah so it costs 1 DRK to get 10k coins with arguably overkill (8 rounds) anonymity. This is expensive??!?  Roll Eyes

For smaller amounts it may be a bit high, but if you only have 5 DRK then just use less rounds. Lowering fees has already shown not to work on mainnet.  Plus the same miners that DRK supposedly hates get these fees...

+1 it can take a while do that many rounds. 1 blocks at least for each, and each is sent out, mixed and 6 confirmations needed back. And it doesnt do your hole balance in one shot. It goes by denominating compatibility.

So anyone trying to denominate 7k through 8 rounds will hopefully not be in too much of a hurry. There is hardly anyone out there to share entries. But as soon as people start ugrading things should be much swifter,

This is a total clusterfuck and so far I get blank stares or told I'm lying.

It just keeps NOT doing 8 rounds, doing 1 instead, then starting over and charing me fees again... Eventually, the wallet will be empty from fees.
I had the exact same issue I kept getting hit with denominate fees. Upon installing .31 it stopped.
I'm using .31

I think it's because everyone who is having no problems has less than 900DRK in their wallet. Mine is broken up and denomed only 900 at a time, and it never does the 8 like it's set to do. It does 1. Then starts all over again....

Sorry, but you are not giving out the details we need to troubleshoot.

Can you please post a screenshot of your:
* transaction tab
* inputs tab(using list view)
* your main tab showing anonymized / non anonymized.
* Link to the Pastebin of your debug.log
* Your options window

Make sure you blur out any addresses / info you dont want us to see though.

I posted it in IRC and sent it to evan. PMed it to some people... Told me it's shopped, lols. Yeah, I'm totally making this shit up...

These are a little old now, but they reflect the issue.

Look up the incoming TX on chainz... It looks like it's been denomed, but my client just isn't interpreting it correctly......

you put yr wallet to not pay any transaction fees ? it needs to be set to 0.001 drk or miners will low prio yr transactions (including yr Darksend related transactions) !!!

No, the fee is set automatically. The one in option is optional foe smaller tx sizes that are usually not prioritised when the blockchain starts becoming huge with tx.

two totally different things. And all this is very new to EVERYONE !! Calm down and smile at this beautiful milestone in the history of man

most use coin control to see what exactly is needed for transaction fees per transaction but with Darksend sending out automatic transactions it needs to be set manually
if its not at 0.001

didnt Evan mention this as well ? that if those transaction fees are not set in the wallet its up to some very friendly miners to get them through ?

PUT TRANSACTION FEES TO 0.001 IF YOU WANT EVERYTHING TO WORK WELL

why the hell he didnt put DEFAULT 0.001 so that we dont do that?

im disapointed in those little things... we are not GURU's to know everything EVAN

again, how you plan to bring new people if you have these little problems ?

edit: COIN CONTROL? what the hell is that, i just found about it 3 days ago... so you must understand that i dont NEED to go advanced ... if i want to send my coins...

for me i dont need coin controll... i assume its sending automaticly and not other way

Well, as you say it's not expensive for large amounts, but for someone who wants to anonymize $50-$100, the fee can be as high as 1%, assuming 8 rounds and a DRK price of $5. I have no idea how much more anonymity is gained with 8 rounds versus 2, but I foresee most users opting for the highest number of rounds.

Anyway, I assume these are things that can be adjusted depending on market conditions. Regardless of the fees, I'm extremely pleased that the core tech is working for me.

Yes, this may indeed be part of the issue camo is experiencing. I transferred 3k DRK to my test wallet quite some time ago and I'm still "waiting for entries," whereas when I was testing with 100 DRK things were surprisingly fast.

Overall, I feel better about the world with drk's anon tech working. It's early days but its working. Once it is open sourced, markets can develop around it. The sooner this happens, the faster the coin value has a chance to recover. Otherwise, it will be avoided like Ebola.

EDIT: Would be better to set 0.001 for self payment.

And 0.001 is not enough.

Looks like Darksend tx is at least over 1kB.
Fee is another way to trace transaction. So Evan set it to 0.0125.

You are right about this.

I would say right now the tech works for 95% of users, but the ease of use and ease of understand is still poor. I assume this is the next step for the team.
