ASK and you shall rec'v :-)
FINALLY got a MN payment !
10 days - longest run yet :-P
2014-08-20
I guess I'm lucky. I received two in a few hours after starting my MN up. It would have been three except some noncompliant scofflaw didn't pay the drk. It makes me mad that someone else is sitting there with my drk in their wallet.

+1 Could we make it so that everyone can write on it and maybe have a moderator? I agree it would be great to eventually move from this thread to the Darkcoin talk site.

tbh i think Mr. Troll is just trolling us with that remark...
No I actually did get screwed out of a masternode payment by someone out of compliance and I want my drk! I started my masternode last night and I only have two payments when I should have three because someone didn't pay the 20% they were supposed to. I feel violated like I was robbed. And I don't like feeling this way. So enforcement needs to start ASAP now that these guys are keeping drk's that belong to me. How many times do I have to read that? Have your say but do not repeat it ad nauseam. I have already lost quite a few darks and would like to get the enforcement going but that does not mean I will be spamming this place. Find a girl or anything that will kill your time...

That's the guide I used. Linux VPS and Windows local cold wallet. One thing I would point out is that there were people in that thread stating that if they closed their local wallet their masternodes would go offline. What I found to be causing this in my case was that after you start the masternode and close the local wallet, if you open the local wallet up again and close it the masternode goes offline. I noticed this after my masternode had been running fine for a couple hours and then was offline. I had reopened the Darkcoin wallet on the local machine and closed it. I tested this a couple times and the result was always the same. The masternode would go offline if I opened and closed the local wallet after it had been closed following entering the masternode commands in the console.
That is total BS. In over 6 months, that never happened to me, or anyone else. May my customers come and chime as well. You're a sad example of a human being.

Whatever exchange you use, make sure you have activated 2FA, if you have trouble with it, dont leave ANY coins on ANY exchange.
i had trouble with my 2FA so i got it disabled, but i didnt take out my coins as soon as cryptsy had disabled it, and in less than 24 hours, i had lost my 131 drk.
Since i have 2FA on my gmail, they could not just withdraw, so what they did instead was trade all my coins to GDC and sold it to another account...
So, Please remember, USE 2FA AT ALL TIMES! and if not, make sure you dont have any coins ANYWHERE else but your wallet (with backup of your wallet.dat)
Can I ask you 1) how complicated your pw was? 2) whether you reused the pw on other websites? I am using 10 characters long unique pw - would you say I still need the 2FA? How could anyone compromise my account? Have you seen this website? https://howsecureismypassword.net/They claim not to be recording your password but I don't know if there is any way to verify that, so if you do try it out it's probably best to try a similar password, changing a character or two. I use 2FA and long unique passwords generated by a password manager. Of course you have to trust the password manager and unless you have an amazing memory, remembering passwords without the password manager is out of the question but for trading accounts it's probably fine unless you have an incredible urge to trade on-the-go. Sure you can. Load up the website, disconnect your Internet. It still works.

Anything that cannot be indexed by google is Deep Web, not Darknet. Darknet is only a sub-section of the Deep Web. Blackhole used to be the most prolific exploit kit... not a good idea.

I'm simply inferring that naming such a project "DarkTor" is perhaps not the greatest idea. Example: http://detector.io/DetecTor.html "As suggested by Roger Dingledine, renamed software to not include the term Tor, to avoid confusion with official Tor project software. The term DetecTor will continue to be used as the name of the project and the design."
