I tried this arrangement with 2 masternodes.  When I send the 1000 drk to the second MN, it states I sent zero drk.   I am using the latest version v0.10.17.24-gee8174a-beta

Thanks in advance.

pls check both the second masternodes DRK addres and the addres from which you sent it here : http://explorer.darkcoin.io/chain/Darkcoin

if second masternode addres shows the 1000 DRK there but yr wallet doesnt then do a -reindex on yr second MN wallet
if the 1000 DRK are still in the sent-from wallet acc block explorer but perhaps not getting confirmed then do a -zapwallettxes on yr sent-from wallet.

* With a new masternode wallet its important to first sent 1 drk to test the wallet, see if it arrives there correctly and then do the full 1000 DRK
* Make backups right after creating new wallets

let me know what you find..

edit : also make sure that the wallet.dat in yr datadirectory is named exactly as mentioned in yr shortcut :

example 1 : yr shortcut mentions -wallet=test.dat then your wallet.dat should also be renamed to test.dat in the specified datadirectory
example 2 : yr shortcut mentions -wallet=readme then your wallet.dat should also be renamed to readme in the specified datadirectory
Thanks for the info I will keep it in mind.  I was attempting to share the datadir with 2 wallets, and the transaction total showed up as Zero dark...
Debit: -1000.00 DRK
Credit: 1000.00 DRK
Net amount: 0.00 DRK
Transaction ID: f47ee8906c296921917.............

I went and looked in the first wallet that I have and this version shows the masternode payment as zero drk sent also.  I guess I should have compared them before freaking out.  Guess holiday travel has me a little nuts.   Embarrassed

Anyway, I setup the 2 wallets so they are separate datadirs (before I realized my faux pas).  I guess I will wait until after the holidays and try it again with a single datadir.  It would be cool to run both of the wallets from one download.

Thank you for your time.

No problem, glad its sorted out. i always use seperate blockchains for each wallet. I think its possible to use one blockchain for several wallets but that would involve working with different darkcoin.conf's which can be directed with -conf=thelocationofyrspecificdarkcoin.conf command option i think .. i havent experimented with that commandline yet
so i'm not totally sure how it works.

Another question:  How does one enable Darksend in their wallet?  Do I need to anonymize some coins between the 2 wallets?  Thanks

Previous post was deleted by moderator. If you are planning to do this again, please at least explain why.
After all, mining other coins and buying DRK on exchanges to pay miners should be good for Darkcoin community...

the rules in the bitcointalk forum have changed, advertising of mining pools is not allowed anymore outside the mining section.
Thats why the moderator deleted your post in this specific forum...

yes, you need to anonymize some coins first. You can set the amount / rounds in the options, after it reached the set rounds to mix
it will get availabe in yr darksend balance. i would set the rounds not higher than 4, and the amount to mix a lil bit below yr total balance.
Darksend mixing will take some time as yr dependent on at least two other participants to pair with (3 pairing), you can do mixing with option
only to anonymize and it will unlock yr wallet only for anonymization

Masternode wallets can not be Darksend mixed by the way... mixing will be greyed out there. This is done so the 1000 input amount will stay intact
in the masternode wallets. So basicly its mixing in one wallet and then darksending it to yr masternode wallet.

Our main developer and his team is looking into making the darksend mixing more fluid, faster and with better feedback towards users,
its high on the agenda.

Very good and well researched article. I agree too with keeping the name.

Also, remember how important things like Instant transactions will be to the world. InstantX is easy, catchy and 'innocent' as a word or brand and I'm sure other Darkcoin innovations will have similar names.

So my point is, despite 'dark' having negative/illegal connotations, other dark technology won't.

The world will adjust in time and the name will be insignificant.

The latest shift for the Darkcoin multipool paid out over 44 DRK.

Still need more hash for Sha256, Scrypt & X11 algo. If you got some, bring it over!

FYI, since it is the holidays this week and next, shifts will be paid out as I have time to validate them. Everything will still be running and exchanging as normal. Don't be alarmed if a shift isn't paid on it's normal schedule.

The fixed schedule will return to normal Jan 5th.

Cheers!

I don 't understand.
The payout get lower qnd lower every week...
When dark price is low it's better to put some hashpower here (leave some to the drktalkpool for the network).

Unfortunately so does that hashrate, which makes for some wider variances and more reliance on luck especially when mining DRK. ~500Mh/s isn't ideal to mine DRK so sometimes it can take are few rounds during a shift to pull a DRK block. Not so much of a problem with the other coins being mined. But all around, the hashrate went down for a while. SHA coins seem to be getting less and less profitable as well.

More hash, more consistant payouts.

on average you should be making the same amount or more of DRK as you would on any other pool.

ZPOOL - the miners multipool! Support We pay 10 FLUX Parallel Assets (PA) directly to block rewards! Get paid more and faster. No PA fee's or waiting around for them, paid instantly on every block found!

A cautionary tale in direct betting:  In what I can only describe as a liquor-fueled attempt at obtaining a masternode, I rolled the dice.  A single roll, masternode or nothing.  50% odds and unsurprisingly, I lost.  left without a single Duff to my name, 500Drks gone.  To those of you who have contemplated the same, I implore you: don't. exit out of your client before taking that shot of whisky and take solace in the fact that you are much smarter than me.  The sting of defeat is far more impactful than the triumph of any attained victory.  Those long hours spent wasting away in overtime, time that could have been better spent with my family, all for naught.  In a moment of rage, I deleted my wallet, swearing off Drk.  I've since vowed to never bet again and will work tirelessly to regain what was lost even if somewhat unattainable.  If anyone is feeling the holiday spirit and would like to throw a few duffs my way, XxHiawGAwtjrY845SUAHXKzFzKH83u5ALU.  Conversely, if anyone would like to offer ridicule instead, I fucking deserve it.
Trust me I know the feeling. I've felt that luck itch several times and had lost 20 here 10 there but never 500. I cannot even begin to understand how deep that would cut. There's a few guys here that have lost even more than 500 on betting. Just say no to gambling unless you have money falling out of your ass lol

This comparison is amazing. Major re-distribution during the last 6 months. It could however also mean that folks on top 100 rich list just split their coins into multiple masternodes Wink In any case, it is good to see the top 10 and top 100 to shrink:

Imagine recieving 1000 drk a complete MN should be one of the best present..
